You enter your house and see your Mom sitting in the living room with her arms crossed. "You took a long time to get here." "Someone was talking to me and I got distracted." "Who? Marcus?" "No, well kind of?" I said. "Can I just go upstairs and do my homework?" "Hm, okay." You run upstairs and do your homework as you usually do, you receive a text from Marcus. "Focus y/n, focus." But you can't help it and you look at the text. "What are you up to?" the text message says. "Nothing much, just homework." "Laaaaaaame." he replies back. "Well sorry for trying to get good grades." You get a call from Max and you pick up. "Hello?" "Come over. NOW!!!" "Max I got homewor-" "We need to plan to Ginny's party!!" "Plus my brother won't shut up about you." "I'm on my way." I said to her on the phone.

You arrive at their house and see the whole group besides Ginny, because you know, it's her party that we're planning. You knock on the door and Max pulls you inside. "About time. Sit on the couch." The only seat that is empty is next to Marcus' seat. He looks at you and pats down the seat for you to come over. You sit down and Marcus smiles at you. "Okay, does anyone have any ideas for her party?" Max says while she has a clipboard in her hand. "A surprise party!" "Abby, that's what we're already doing." says Norah. "Oh right, I forgot." After a couple of minutes while your group is discussing more things about the party. "Ok, I got the food down. All we need is a theme." "How about no theme at all? Just a couple of cute decorations?" says Norah.

We all agree to and we talked about Ginny's party some more. It was getting late and everyone was going home. "Bye everyone! Remember the party starts at 8!" Says Max. "Hey Max, can I stay here until my curfew? There's nothing really to do at my house." I asked "Of course bestie! Let's go upstairs and watch a movie. Can you get snacks while I pick the movie?" "Sure." I said. You see that Marcus is already in the kitchen drinking, and you grab the drink. "You know if you wanted some you could've asked instead of taking my drink." "Drinking is bad for you, especially at our age." "Can you point me at where the snacks are? I forgot." I asked. "No." said Marcus. "Okay, why are you acting all bitchy?" You said while crossing your arms. "I..." "Sorry y/n. The snacks are at that cabinet. I'll get them for you since I was acting like a total bitch."

Before you can finish talking, Marcus cups your cheek and starts kissing you. You start to kiss him for a while but then you remember what you told him. "No! Remember what I said to you, we can't be together." You grab the snacks and head upstairs. "Really? No salsa? Cause things were getting spicyyy." Max says while winking at you. "Shit! I'm sorry Max. It was unexpected, well for a couple of seconds, at least." "It's fine, let's just watch the movie." said Max while laughing. "What movie did you pick out?" I asked "A horror movie." "Pass the popcorn." She said. "No don't go in there!!! Aaaand she went in there." said Max while eating her popcorn.

About 2 hours later the movie ends and you say goodbye to Max because she already fallen asleep. You quietly exit her room and close the door. You go downstairs and it's pitch black. Marcus turns on the light. "You idiot! You scared me!!" "Maybe you shouldn't have watched that horror movie." "Want a drink?" "I told you already, that stuff is bad for us, especially for our age." "Just one?" "No." "Fine, you're no fun." he says. "I am fun!" "Eh, we'll see about that at Ginny's party." "You're going?" I asked. "Yes, I mean, the party's gonna be at my house, so I kinda don't have a choice." It becomes quiet for a while and you decide to be the one to talk. "I'm going home, cya at school." "I'll drive you on my motorcycle, let's go." "Okay, thanks." He drops you off and kisses your cheek. "Goodnight." he says in a quiet voice. Before you can say anything, he's already driving away.
