- The rumours are all false you bastards!, I said recklessly pulling the microphone out of the reporters hands. I was sick of them standing outside the apartment building, waiting for something to report on me. - The only truth is that Black Stones is hundreds of times better and bigger than Trapnest, I shouted loud and clearly looking into the camera lens. I smirked, - you hear me Jindo!?. hang in there!. I knew that my message would reach her, I knew she would be looking at the tv where she sat in lonelyness by herself. I just knew it.
She sat lonely inside the glorious hotel suite, gazing out on the seoul city line half the day. The rest, she either watched tv or dreamt about cooking Taemin something home made. She was often called by Shi-chan, and spent hours talking to our young bassist, since she did not realy speak to any of the rest of us in Black Stones. Like that she was updated upon us, asking how we where and about our concerts. Ever since Shi-chan had joined our group, she had been watching over him in a motherly way.
Shi-chan had always been on his own afterall, and even though he seemed very mature he was still underage. It was not before, he applied to our bassist request that he had felt like he belonged to someone in the world. He had moved in with Woo-hyun in his apartment, wich he started considering his first real home. He was secretive about his past, but we all knew there was something he was not willing to talk about. Just like us all, he had experienced how harsh life truly could be at several occasions allready at such an early age. Whitout having to go trough details of Shi-chan's life before BlackStones, he had it though, for being just a child.
He never had it easy at all, and that's why he became so close with someone like Jindo. Because no matter what, she was always thoughtfull and kind. Trough her life, she often looked at herself as weak and clumsy, when she in fact was great. Wherever she was, she always spread hapiness to everyone around her like a fountain.
One day, she recieved a phone call from a journalist wich said he had a lot of material to publish about the members of BlackStones, and that he wanted to know if she could be to any help as a friend of their lead singer, and as the wife of the leader of their rival band, Trapnest. She was about to hang up, when the rude journalist claimed to have got information about Song Jina's mother, who had abandoned when she was two years old.
She realised the journalist realy had re-searched her friends past, and was scared about what the consequenses of such news would be. She did her best and begged the journalist to not publish, even offering money in exhange. But then the journalist coldly continiued telling her that he had something on BlackStones bassist, Shi-chan as well.
He was only seventeen years old, she shaked of fear as she listened to him more. He had a picture of him and Trapnest's singer Layla heading into a hotel together. Proof of their existing relationship. Poor Jindo did not know what to say or do, she did not even know anything about this. The journalist said the choice was her's. Wether he would publish Jina's or Shi-chan's case to the media. He was blackmailing her, who did not even have anything to do with either cases.
I was her closest friend, she never wanted to see me hurt. And shi-chan was just a child, being sold to the media like that was just horrible. She was pressed up into a tight mess she did not know how to solve. - If you dont choose now ms. Shin, I will have to publish both the cases, the journalist threatened.
Shi-chan or Jina? She could not make herself choose, somebody would get hurt and affected either way. The clock was ticking away time. - Please.. dont do this, she begged only to her laughter from the other end. - This are both juicy news, ms.Shin, you understand how much this information is worth?, now choose while you still can. Jindo was crying, how could this even happend? why could someone be this cruel?
She knew what I would have decided, what I had wanted her too do. Yet she was scared of hurting me, she had seen how vulnerable I was after all. - Please dont hurt Shi-chan, she cringed into the phone, - ...he's only a child. The journalist published the case about me the very next day, causing a lot of headlines in the media. " Blackstones's Jina abandoned by her mother ", "Blackstones's Jina's dark past " , " Song Jina lied about childhood in interview " and so on. I had never been lying about being an orphan, because It was what I became after my mother left me. I dont know anything about her today, and I dont realy want to either.
Later I heard Jindo had contacted our drummer, Hyuk-shi. She told him about everything, and he told her she had done the right thing to protect the young bassist. However, it was very likely that the case of shi-chan would be published in the future despite the journalist's words. I was not mad at Jindo, and the news did not break me as much as she had expected. I always knew the story would reach the public sooner or later.
When it came to Shi-chan however, who had been maintaining a secret relationshipp with Layla ever since her birthday party at the clubb, was surprised to hear about it all. Because, it turned out that on the woman he was being with on the picture was not Layla at all. It was a woman who recembled her, wich Shi-chan had been with in the past.
