Wedding bells

At Last

(( Evan's Coma))

The day didn't start out as usual. There were no kids jumping on my bed, the sun was hidden behind clouds, and there was no coffee brewing. I turned over to Taissa who was old and frail. Her once light brown hair was fading to grey. She opened her eyes and they were sunk in. I touched her face and her skin started peeling. I jumped back and screamed. I looked into the mirror, I was the same age. My kids were older then me and Tai was on her death bed.

She tried to stand but fell to the ground. "Tai NO!" I screamed running towards her but my feet wouldn't move. "Evan, wake up." She said with her last dying breath. She closed her eyes. "TAI" I screamed but she didn't respond. I was living my worst nightmare, watching my true love die in front of me.

My feet started to move and I ran. I ran towards the lake that me and Tai would normally sit at, but my world was dissapearing right in front of me. Everything was fading to white. I kneeled to the floor. I shut my eyes and pulled my hair. "WAKE UP!" I screeched while banging my head back and forth.

Then it all turned black.

((hospital))

I sat in my bed, looking around my tiny hospital room. I had to share it with a lady who sounded like she was dying. Every few minutes she would cough and it would drive me insane. "Come on, sit up, I got your favorite ice cream." Lina said with a smile holding a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. I smiled a little, I forgot I was in the hospital until I heard the lady cough again.

I was enjoying my ice cream until a nurse ran into my side of the room. "MRS. GRIER ARE YOU HERE!?!?'' "I'm here! is everything ok?" "It's your brother." Lina looked over at me. My face flushed. "I'll be there in a second." she said while walking towards me. "No." I said. "What?" I ripped out my IV and whimpered. "TAI STOP." Tears filled my eyes as I unhooked myself from all the equiptment. "I have to see him, no one can stop me."

Sadly I was wrong, as I was running down the hall two large men stopped me and picked me up. It was quite uncomfortable because I was only in a hospital gown but I couldn't care less, I needed Evan. "LET ME GO!" they were carrying me back to my room. I was screaming, crying, kicking. I looked down the hall.

"EVAN!!" I screeched from halfway down the hall. He was standing in a hospital gown and started sprinting towards me. "TAISSA!!" He said screaming back. I eventually cut loose from the men and ran into Evan's arms. We greeted each other with a long, passionate kiss.

"I missed you so much." He whispered in my ear. "I love you Evan." "I love you too.'' We smiled. We were together at last.
