chapter 8

Sounds from alarm clock playing in the background but the omega under his thick blanket refused to get out of bed, he did not stop whining and even mumbling some incoherent things with closed eyes. Finally after struggling to reach out for the digital alarm clock, Jimin looked at the current time on the clock screen with his eyes barely open due to lack of sleep.

Then the omega put the alarm clock back on the nightstand next to him before he sat at the edge of his bed sleepily, still unable to control his heavy eyes. He reluctantly stepped into the toilet to do his morning routine. He  stood in front of the mirror while brushing his teeth but he stopped when he saw the reflection of himself inside the mirror.

He looked mess, as if he was awake late at night to drink alcohol to intoxicate himself. A pair of dark circles under his swollen eyes and reddened cheeks make him look like he has a hangover. He then released a frustrated sigh before he washed his mouth and brought his hand up to check his own temperature by using the back of his hand. The omega  gasped when he felt his forehead is burning hot causing him to pull back his hand.

"I can't believe I got fever after the incident with that jerk!"
Jimin mumbled as he made himself into the bathroom to take a shower.

Apparently he will not go to university today because he was sure that he will not survive there with his weak body condition like this but he will probably go tomorrow when his fever has subsided a bit. Jimin was not sure if he made the wise decision to take a shower a few moments ago because he felt like his body temperature was rising and he started sneezing uncontrollably.

The omega sniffed softly before he climbed back onto his bed and covered himself with a blanket so he could stay warm. He himself does not like it when he has a fever because he will turn to be so emotional since his parents are not by his side to treat him when he was sick like a few years ago. Jimin wiped away the tears before he opened his nightstand drawer to find the pills he had stored so he could find them easily when he got sick.

Jimin gulped down the medicine with mineral water until he almost finished the whole bottle in a short time. Thanks to the water because Jimin was finally able to wet his dry lips. Unbeknownst to him, he slowly brings his hand up to touch his own lips. The incident is still fresh in his mind as if it had just happened a moment ago.

"This causes me to hate him even more"
Jimin whispered to himself before he makes himself comfortable under the thick blanket, trying his best to sleep.

Meanwhile, at the university the students seem to be more fussy than expected. They kept cursing Jimin even though the poor omega was not present there. This is what happened when a video of him raging and about to hit a student who said bad things to his family spread to all students. Without researching what really happened between the two students, they without hesitation created a statement that Park Jimin is a crazy omega who wants attention.

This finally reached Jeon Jungkook's ears and he was not sure what he was supposed to do in such a situation. He runs his fingers through his dark brown hair before he let a sigh escape from his mouth, the lunch served in front of him did not succeed in attracting his attention at all.

"Hey Jeon Jungkook, why do you look so depressed? Isn't your lunch specially cooked by the chef at this university? do you have no appetite or what?"
One of his friends asked him a tons of questions.

"You talked too much Kim Yugyeom, he will probably annoyed with you"
The person who sat next to the Yugyeon guy bumped his elbow softly.

Then he mumbled a quick sorry to Jungkook before he resumed eating with full appetite causing the cafeteria table on which they were sitting to be silent again. However, the silence did not last long when one of his other friends clears his throat, making the others look at him.

"I heard that the girl who fought with Jimin yesterday was involved in an accident when she was on her way home"
He started the conversation making the other boy gasped in shock.

"What accident?"
Yugyeom asked curiously.

"If I am not mistaken it was a motorcycle accident, the rider hit her and just left after that"
The male said and shrugged his shoulders.

"I think I will get going first since I have a class right after lunch"
Jungkook interrupted in their conversation to get away from them.

Others just nodded their heads and some even said goodbye to him before he left the cafeteria. He actually had no classes after lunch but he only gave an excuse for him to be alone for a while. Jungkook decided to walk around the garden located near the academy block to take some fresh air.

"Jeon Jungkook?"
A soft female voice echoing his eardrums causing him to turn around.

"H-hi, I'm Kang Haejoo f-from photography club and I have reported about Park Jimin's action for spreading the bad rumors of you so now he's suspended from our club"
The unfamiliar girl said shyly, not forgetting the red blush on her cheeks which was very visible.

"So?"
The only word escaped from Jeon Jungkook's mouth causing him to look at the male in disbelief.

"Actually I did that to clear your name-"

"As far as I remember, I never told anyone to do that"
Jungkook cut her off and resumed his steps to go away from there.

"I like you, Jeon Jungkook! I like you from the first day I landed my eyes on you.."
The girl moved her gaze to somewhere else.
