Faint footsteps coming to the familiar room before the door was being pushed open. Jungkook stepped in while his eyes glued to the small omega laying on the bed without opening his eyes for pass three days.

The alpha took his usual seat next to the hospital bed with his heart clenching hard until he felt hurt. He promised himself to not cry, not allowing himself to break but the single tear betrayed him by falling down from the corner of his eye and down to his cheek.

Jungkook was quick enough to wipe it off his face before he sobbed, the feeling of being too suffocated inside his chest was not a joke for him. He could not found himself releasing the hold on the omega's hand but instead, he drew a few circles on Jimin's small knuckles as if he was trying to comfort the sleeping omega.

"you should've not be sick" Jungkook sniffed while he brought his other hand to wipe those tears off.

"the drug we found in his body had caused or actually triggering Jimin's stomach cancer, also called as gastric cancer causing Jimin ssi to coma"

The information that he received from the doctor earlier had caused his heart to miss a beat, not to forget his blood running down his system and leaving his body turned pale in fear. He moved his sight somewhere else while he rubbing his pair of hands together.

"I should pay attention on you all the time at that night, I'm really sorry" Jungkook took a deep breath as he tried to not let another tear escaped from the corner of his eyes.

His gaze then fall into their interlocked fingers before his heart beating fast. He felt warm whenever Jimin is around and he loves it but he believes the omega must hating his presence, he is also ashamed of himself.

Crying in front of Jimin is the last thing that he wanted to do especially in this kind of situation, he needs to act strong to encourage the omega. He just wanted to protect Jimin and turn back the time when both of them met for the first time, when the omega was selfless.

"I've fallen deeper for you"

The alpha tried to get rid of the tears on his face but they betrayed him. This had caused his eyes to swell after a few moments since he could not help to feel weird in his heart when his eyes landed on the beautiful omega sleeping beautifully in front of him.

The level of his stubbornness was high and Jungkook refused to go home when the clock on the wall already showing it was already late in the evening.

"I don't want to leave you alone" Jungkook spoke as he watching his left hand that could not stop picking his own nails anxiously until they started to hurt.

After a few moments of silence, his phone rang in his pocket as Jungkook answered the call without looking at the ID caller. He could hear a someone tried to clear his throat but it sounds familiar.

"Jungkook ah, I got the copy of the cctv tape during the farewell dinner you asked for, I will send it to you"

"alright thank you very much Jackson ah" Jungkook tried to speak with his usual tone, not wanting to make it obvious that he just cried a few moments ago.

"no need buddy!"

With that the other alpha ended the call and following with a notification that he just received. His swollen eyes focused on the video tape, not wanting to miss any single action that was happening during the night event.

The cctv was located exactly near the place Jimin was sitting at that night, he watched the omega was looking around until he saw Jackson himself was approaching Jimin while looking half drunk. Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows but he decided to let it slide.

Both of them were exchanging words until Jackson excused himself and disappeared into the crowd. He saw Jimin kept his eyes on his surroundings for a couple of moments, turning his body from the table a little bit before a figure approaching the omega from behind without Jimin ever realized.

Jungkook paused the video as he tried to look at the familiar person with knitted eyebrows. He blinked his eyes a couple of times, trying to zoom in just in case he would make false assumptions on the wrong person.

"Kang Hyunjae?"

This had caused Jungkook to sense something fishy with that guy since he got a strong connection with Lee Taemin. He could not help but to over think about anything bad they would done to the omega.

"I did bumped with him right?"
Jungkook asked himself.

A pair of his dark brown eyes widen in shock when that guy left a glass of orange juice on the table and Jimin drank the beverage a few moments after. He then saw Jimin clutched over his mouth and ran away before Jungkook let his phone slipped down from his tight hold.

"fucking hell, no!" The alpha whisper yelled before he picked his phone up from the floor and dialed the same number once again, bouncing his knees eagerly.

"yes Jungkook? what's up-"

"I want you to tell police to fail a case on Kang Hyunjae and also inspect Lee Taemin just in case he was the master mind in this crime, I will send you every single real evidence by tomorrow" Jungkook demanded before he ended the call with a shaking hand.

"Jiminie please wake up" He whimpered as he hold the omega's cold hand desperately.

He felt like his heart was being stabbed a thousand times until it bleeding. At this moment, he just hoping that he could turn back the time and stay with Jimin all time to keep him safe, not minding about the fact that the omega might hate his presence around him.

The time passed while Jungkook muttered sorry all over again to the unconscious omega laying peacefully on the bed, looking so breathtaking even with a pair of his eyes were closed shut all of the time.

"please give me a chance to protect you from this hell with all cost Jimin ah" Jungkook tightened the grip before he pressed a kiss on Jimin back hand.

"please wake up for me"

I'm not believe in myself just in case
i will drifted away from the actual plot
