chapter 9

The next day arrived unexpectedly, Jimin was found in the kitchen spreading the strawberry jam on his toast as a simple breakfast before he went to university. Instead of resting in bed all day, he plans to attend university because he feels like he has recovered a little from the fever. The omega got on the bus so he would get to university faster than walking.

He arrived a little early at university so as he walked through the hallway, he could feel a very quiet atmosphere making him feel comfortable instead of getting a glimpse of the students. Apparently he was able to start his day in peace.

He went to his classes as usual, he even took a seat at the back and that was a wise choice as the students are not aware of his existence so he can concentrate well on the lecturer at the front.

The bell rang in the background signaling it was lunch time but Jimin was not eager to step into the cafe.
He made sure that all the students had leave the class because he wants to avoid meeting with the other students who will insult him every now and then. To his relive that the hallway is completely empty without any students, this makes Jimin feel grateful before he decided to head towards the library.

As usual the omega would sit on a bench located outside the library while eating the food he had brought from home. Since his fever had not fully subsided yet, he feels like he has no appetite to eat but he still feeds himself with a piece of bread with strawberry jam just like his breakfast earlier so that he can fill his empty stomach to attend his next class.

While he was busy chewing the food suddenly someone handed him a carton of drinks making him furrowed his eyebrows and raised his head to look towards the person. To his surprise, he saw a good looking guy standing in front of her with a smile etched on his lips. He is obviously an alpha by judging from his strong scent.

Jimin began to feel uncomfortable with the tall guy's presence because he was afraid he would be insulted by him. Who knows maybe that smile carries a bad meaning?

"You are Park Jimin right?"
The unknown guy said in a gentle tone.

Jimin could not open his mouth to answer his question so he just nodded his head slowly without making any eye contact with him. The guy found him amusing as he chuckles before he took a seat next to Jimin. The omega was shocked by his action and Jimin quickly got up from the bench to go away but he was stopped when there was a hand holding his wrist tightly to prevent him from leaving.

"Hold up Jimin, I want to talk with you."
He said while looking at the omega's frightened face.

"I-if you want to b-bad talk to me face to face then forget it, I'm leaving!"
Jimin found himself stuttering but he just care less.

"No, that is not my point! I just want to get to know you"
The guy said while still holding his wrist.

When Jimin was no longer rebelled, he threw a smile of relief and led the omega to sit on the bench. Jimin avoided eye contact by just looking over his lap.

"My name is Lee Taemin"
The guy finally introduced his name.

Jimin seems a bit hesitant because he rarely talks to students at this university even more so when he is not liked by people lately so he does not know what he has to say. However, once again he heard a soft chuckle from the guy making Jimin assumed that he was definitely a social person.

"I bought this for you, This is a strawberry flavor so finish it while it is still cold"
Taemin tried to assure him with a sweet smile on his handsome face.

Jimin could not refuse the guy's offer because strawberry milk was his favorite drink. Hesitantly, Jimin took the carton of the drink and punched a hole for him to insert a straw into it. He did not realize that he was actually being watched by Taemin who looked at him with a smile.

"So Park Jimin, Don't you have any class right now?"
The male began the conversation.

"I don't have classes until tomorrow morning, I was planning to study at library until dusk"
He said in hushed voice, not used to have a simple talk with other students like this.

Taemin nodded his head in understanding then he looked around. It seems that none of the students use this route during lunch so it is no wonder why Jimin likes to spend his time here.

"Am I actually bothering you Park Jimin ssi?"
He asked in concern when he realized that the smaller omega barely speak anything from the beginning.

"N-no, just I'm never had a proper conversation with others.. you know my situation right now was really mess"
Jimin said with a pair of eyes glued to his own lap.

"Don't be shy around me, who knows maybe one day we would be a best friend? I will look forward for your confident side"
Woohyun said smiling and the omega accidently making eye contact with him when he lifted up his face.

"I don't think so because people usually turn their back to me after a while and you will probably do the same-"

"I won't, I want to know you better"
Taemin said firmly to prove that he was not lying and at the same time to gain his trust.

This silenced the omega, he tried his best to figure out if making friends with this guy would not hurt him as the other students did. Taemin is very friendly with him and he never stops giving a smile to make Jimin feel comfortable with him so it may not be wrong to greet each other sometimes as friends.

"Okay, a friendship wasn't a crime right?"
Jimin said in hesitation and standing from his seat, still can not looking into Taemin's eyes after having a chat with him.

"Jimin ssi, where are you going-"

"Home, I don't want to miss the bus"
He said as the alpha nodded his head again.

"See you tomorrow then!"
