We Are Enough (Maria x Angelica bc why not)

I was meaning to tell you.

Everyone made their way into the bar. Maria was making friends with Mary, she was a very nice woman. Mary then introduced Maria to Eliza and John. Herc and Laf came back with drinks for everyone while Alex was on his phone. Eliza hugged Alex from behind. 

"Oh my god you scared me" He jumped a little.

"Well get off your phone and come live outside in your actual life, with me and you friends" She turned him to face her and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I was texting Angie and making sure she was coming" He kissed her forehead. 

"Well Angie is a grown woman who can make decisions for herself" She smiled and held his hand walking over to the bar and getting another drink.

"Betsey, how many drinks have you had?" He asked, almost concerned.

"This will be my second, and I am gonna have more too, I have not been out with you in a while and I miss it" She took a step closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder. 

Angelica walked in holding her keys, phone and little jacket. She made her way down stairs and to the back where they always meet. Maria was talking to John, Mary and Herc so she did not realize Angelica was there. Angie hugged Alex and Eliza from the back.

"Oh my god can the Schuyler sisters please stop hugging people from the back? It scares me." He says jumping and turning to hug her.

"Hi Sissy!" Eliza said with a little to much excitement. It caught Laf's attention and he walked over to them. 

"Oh merci mon dieu, your here! Stay right there while I go get a surprise." He pated her shoulder and walked away towards Maria. Angelica did not bother to see where he was walking, but she just took a shot then grabbed a beer. 

"Well someone needed a drink" Alex says smiling as Eliza walked off. "So your gonna get drunk I assume?"

"Yeah probably. I dont know I just really needed to get out of the apartment today. It feels weird without y-... another person there." She tried not not make it weird but it already was. Alex smiles and took a step closer to her.

"I miss keeping you up with my coffee making and writing" Angelica laughed and looked at him.

"It just does not feel the same, and I hate living by myself, it reminds me of Church" She sighed and looked at the ground. Alex lifted her head up.

"At least you ain't married to him" He said with a soft smile.

"Thank god I'm not married to him." She laughed quietly and hugged him. "I just miss living with someone" he hugged her back laughing too.

Laf came over with Maria, Herc and John. He tapped Angie in the shoulder and she turned around. 

"Hi Laf! What do-" The moment she saw Maria she started to blush and was speechless. Maria looked at her with excitement and embarrassment at the same time. Both were blushing like crazy. So Laf broke the silence. 

"I wanted you to meet my new friend.. again and was hoping you would talk to her..?" he was hiding a smile again. This time tough, he was hiding it better. Alex moved to see Angie's whole face and not jut the side of it. His smiled faded when he saw how red her face was. Everyone else was smiling a lot. Herc pushed Maria towards Angie and then they all walked away, even Alex. 

"Maria its so.. I.. you look nice" Angie was trying to not just burst into happiness and make a big commotion.

"Why thank you, you look beautiful yourself." She was getting redder and redder. She looked up at Angie, grabbed her hand and pulled her to the side behind a wall. Angie let her and followed wherever she was taking her. Maria was looking back and fourth between her eyes and lips.

"Maria.. I wanted to tell you earlier but I want to know if you-" She was cut off. Before she knew it she was kissing Maria, in a bar with all of their friends on the other side of the wall. The background noise started to fade away. Angie's hands fell to Maria's waist as Maria moved her hands to the sides of Angie's head. They flipped so now Maria was up against the wall. Who knows how long it was, it could have been one minute or five minutes. They only thing that pulled them apart was a gasp. It was Alex, he went looking for Angie and found her like this, kissing a girl she just meet. His face got very red and he was a little irritated. He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out. Was he mad? No. Was he jealous? Definitely.
