I don't own Percy Jackson

Sally and Annabeth walk into the cabin where Percy and the rest of the seven are.

Percy looks up from the paper he had been drawing on, "Mommy!" he runs and jumps into Sally's arms.

"Hi, Percy!" Sally smiles. "How are you?"

"I'm ok," Percy says smiling. "but I missed you."

"I missed you too, Baby. Were you good for Annabeth and her friends while I was gone?"

"Yeah! They are a lot of fun. I got to go look for Sponge-Bob!"

"That sounds fun."

"Yep, it was."

The others went down to the beach to give Sally and Percy some time to talk.

"Taking care of him is harder than I thought it would be," Piper says as she sits down on the dock.

"For real," Jason says as he throws himself into the sand. "I thought he would be nice and easy to take care of. He is the hardest child I have ever had to take care of."

"How many kids have you taken care of?" Hazel asks.

"Well, not many, but still."

Annabeth laughs, "I can't believe that you guys thought that Percy Jackson would be an easy kid to take care of."

That made everyone laugh. They spent the next few hours talking about what they had been like as children, and funny stories of children they had met and the things they had done.

Percy and Sally stayed in his cabin. They had lots of fun talking and playing games.

Sally was happy to see her son young and having fun again. She had gotten used to him always looking around like he was waiting for someone to come out and try to kill him, and he kind of was.

His green eyes were brighter than Sally had seen them in years. At one point they always looked like that, but over the years they seemed to get duller and duller. The only time they would light up was when he was talking about something or someone that he loved, like Annabeth. Although Sally knew it was bad, a part of her hoped that Percy wouldn't be turned back for a while. She liked seeing him so young and carefree. It was really nice.

"What do you want to do now?"

"Can we go swimming?" Percy bagged.

"Of course, let's go."

The two got into swimsuits and headed down to the beach. The others were still there, so they all decided to stay and hang out for a while.

The boys went swimming, Annabeth and Sally keeping a close eye on Percy. While the girls started building a sandcastle.

Annabeth, Piper, and Hazel had just finished the last tower when a huge wave hit them and the castle. The castle fell and the girls liked up to see Percy standing in the water. He was smiling while Jason and Leo were laughing way harder than they need to be.

"Percy!" Piper yelled.

The smile fell from Percy's face, "I'm sorry!" He said quickly. He looked like he was going to cry.

The other boys stopped laughing.

"Percy," Sally said. "Come here."

Percy ran over to his mother who picked him up and the two of them walked away.

A few minutes later they came back.

"I'm sorry for making your castle fall and for getting you all wet." Percy apologized.

"That's ok," Annabeth told him. "Well you were talking to your mom I thought of a cooler castle to make. Do you want to help me?"

Percy looked up at his mom who nodded, so he ran over to help.

A/N:

Sorry, this took so long to get out and it's so short. I had really bad writer's block for this chapter. I have no idea when the next chapter will be out. I'm having the hardest time with this book, but a lot of people like it, so I'm going to keep trying to write it.

Thanks for reading,
Alex
