I don't own Percy Jackson.

Annabeth's POV

Percy looks up at the others as they walk in. Piper and Hazel come first.

"He is pretty cute," Hazel agrees.

Percy smiles at them. "Hi," he says. "Who are you?"

"I'm Piper," Piper tells him. "And this is my friend Hazel."

Then Jason, Leo, and Frank walk in. Percy takes one look at them, screams, and runs to hide behind me. I look up thinking one of them is holding a sword and that's what scared Percy. No one is holding a sword or anything that would scare Percy.

"What's wrong?" I quickly ask.

Percy doesn't say anything, just peaks out from behind me. He looks at the three boys.

"Hey, Percy," Jason says. "We didn't mean to scare you. We just wanted to come and meet you. I mean we've already met you, we just want to meet little you." The other boys nod in agreement.

Percy slowly comes out from behind me. "You're not going to hurt me?"

"No! Of course not. Why would we hurt you? We are your friends." Frank says.

Percy shrugs his shoulders, "why does anyone hurt anyone else?" He says in response to Frank's question.

We all just stare at Percy for a minute before Leo speaks up.

"Let's take him to Bunker 9. There is a room in the back that is filled with old toys. Why it's in there I don't know but, I'm sure we can find something for Percy to do."

"That's a good idea, Leo!" I say.

The others nod so, we leave my cabin and head to the woods. I expect Percy to try and run ahead and get lost but, to my surprise, he just takes my hand and walks by me. It's a little weird to hold his hand at first because usually, his hand is bigger than mine, not the other way around.

We walk in silence to Bunker 9. At first, we try and talk to Percy but, he doesn't say much back. We finally get to Bunker 9 and Leo shows us the room with all the toys. Jason picks up a football.

"You want to play catch, Percy?" He asks.

He looks up at Hazel, "will you play too?"

Hazel looks at me and I nod. "Sure!" Hazel says.

Hazel, Jason, and Percy go outside to play catch while the rest of us try and figure out what we're going to do.

"I don't think there is much we can do. I think we just have to wait for Poseidon to get Zeus to turn him back." We all just sit not saying anything for a minute.

"We cannot keep Percy in here all day," Frank says.

"Yeah," Leo agrees, "who knows what trouble he could get into. This place is not childproof."

Right after Leo finishes saying that there is a loud crash. We look at each other before standing up and running in the direction of the crash.

Jason is standing by some broken glass. Hazel and Percy are gone.

"What happened?" I ask.

Jason sighs, "it's my fault. We were walking out to play catch outside but, I wanted to see how good Percy was before we got outside. So, I told him to catch and I throw the ball. I throw it too high and he jumped to catch it but, ended up hitting it into a glass bowl. It fall and he got scared a ran off. Hazel went to go get him."

"Ok, first of all," I say, "Leo why is there a glass bowl out here?"

"I got hungry so, I got some cereal and I guess I forget the bowl."

"Where did Percy go?" I ask.

"That way," Jason says pointing to the left. I nod and leave to go find Percy and Hazel.

It doesn't take long to find them. Hazel is sitting on the floor, by a table.

"Please," she says, "it's ok, no one is mad at you." Then she turns and sees me. "He thinks everyone is going to be mad at him for breaking the bowl. I told him it wasn't his fault because I told Jason not to throw the ball inside. Will you try and talk to him?"

I nod and take Hazel's spot on the floor. I look under the table and see Percy sitting as far back as he can, with his knees pulled up to his chest.

"Hi," I say. "I know you think that we are mad at you but, trust me, we are not. Leo breaks stuff all the time. It's ok."

He looks at me for a minute before asking, "are you sure you're not mad? Cuz' Gabe gets mad when I break stuff."

"I'm sure. What did you break to make Gabe so mad?" I know I shouldn't ask but, I can't help myself.

Percy counts on his fingers for a minute before holding up four fingers and saying, "four glass cups."

"Why were you using glass cups?"

He looks at me surprised like I should know why "I was getting Gabe his drinks. Didn't your dad make you get him drinks?"

"No, he didn't."

"Oh," he says as he crawls out from under the table. He smiles at Hazel. "Did your dad make you get him drinks when you were a baby?" He asks as we head back to the others.

"Well," Hazel says carefully, "my dad wasn't around much when I was younger."

"Oh," Percy says, he doesn't say anything for a minute, then he says, "that's okay. My dad got lost at sea before I was born. So, he wasn't around much when I was a baby either."

We find the others and Jason comes over. Percy hides behind me and Hazel.

"Hey," Hazel says. "It's ok, Jason just wants to talk."

Jason kneels down so, that he is closer to Percy's height.

"I just wanted to say, I'm sorry. Hazel told me not to throw the football inside but, I didn't listen."

"It's ok. I'm not very good at listening either. At least that's what Gabe says. Can we go play outside now? I promise I won't break anything."

"Yeah," I say. "Let's go outside."
