Niece - Chapter 18

"I'll help you set it up if you want." Ralph looked at me then at laiklyn. I was holding her still.

"I got it, don't worry." He grabbed laiklyn from me, and luckily she was still sleeping. I watched him open the door, and lay her down gently on the bed. I went back to talk to everyone. It was around 20 minutes already. It really shouldn't be taking that long to set it up. I excused myself and went to check on Ralph. I see him laying on the floor, looking defeated.

"Ralph? You okay?"

"Hmm? Oh yeah." He sounded and looked embarrassed.

"I think you need help."

"I think so too."

"Come here." Ralph lazily got to me. I explained to him how you were supposed to put the bassinet up.

"It was that simple?"

"That simple." I got up and helped Ralph up. Ralph got up and hugged me. We stayed there for little, but laiklyn started to cry. I went to go pick her up without hesitation but soon noticed Ralph was looking at me. I started to do everything to make her stop. It didn't work. I gave her toys, changed diaper, milk, burped, rocked her, played with her, I did everything you could list.

"Let me try." Ralph said. I handed her to him and he just carried her around for a little bit and she fell asleep.

"Not fair." I said.

"I guess she loves me."

"Whatever, I'm still her favorite." I got her from Ralph, so I could lay her down in the basinet. She was not having it. She started to cry. I rocked her to bed and decided to lay her on top of me. I was laying down in the bed. Ralph as right next to me. Laiklyn started moving next to Ralph. She was in the middle of us both.

"She's cute." Ralph said, while looking down and smiling at her.

"She really is."

"She looks like you. She looks a lot like you."

"She looks like her dad. Just prettier." Ralph laughed at my comment. Laiklyn moved on top of Ralph now.
"I'm sleepy."

"Then go to bed. I got laiklyn."

"Okay. Goodnight."

I woke up to a baby jumping on me.
"Clowie! Clowie! Wake up!"

"Laiklynnnn!"

"Clowie!" I got her off of me and started tickling her. She was a laughing mess.

"Wook!" I turned to see Ralph waking up.

"Ralph!"

"Hmm?"

"Wake up!"

"Walphhh!"Ralph shot up real quick.

"Did she just say my name?" He asked while pointing at Laiklyn.

"I'm pretty sure." H picked her up and tossed her in the air.
"Jeez, you're acting like she's your kid." I laughed.

"I wish."

"No nononono. We're to young."

"So? We're clearly good with kids. I mean Laiklyn loves us. Don't ya think?"

"Well yeah, but we don't take care of her 24/7, my brother and his girlfriend does. She doesn't know what it's like with us." I'm sure Ralph wasn't listening, he was to busy playing with Laiklyn. Me was giving her kisses everywhere. She was a giggling mess.
"Pupppsssss."

"Yeah love?"

"Pups? Pups! Pup pup pups!" Laiklyn learned Ralph's nickname. She was clapping her hands.

"Oh jeez." Ralph said.
"Another you."

"Hey! You know I'm the best!"

"Yeah! At being perfect." I was red everywhere.

"Hey that's not fair!"

"It's the truth. I'm sorry."

"Whatever pups, anyways, kissy Laiklyn?" She does a kissy face. I do the same and give her a kiss.
"Aww, thank you. Now give one to Ralph." Ralph was shocked. Guess he's never had a relationship like ours.

"Walph?"

"Yes, pups."

"Pups!" She leaned in and gave Ralph a kiss on the cheek. He was laughing.

"No, like this." I gave Ralph a quick kiss, to show Laiklyn.

"Pup!"

"Kissy please." I told her. She gave me a kiss on the lips.
"Now do that with Ralph." She grabbed Ralph's face and gave him a kiss.
"Good job!" Ralph was still kinda surprised.

"You turn!" Laiklyn looked at Ralph and me.

"Our turn?"

"Ya!" I turned to Ralph and gave him a kiss. He responded quickly, doing the same.

"You know you can kiss her, right?"

"Are you comfortable with that?"

"Of course."

"Kissy Laiklyn?" She gave me a kiss.

"Muahh!" She said.

"Kissy Ralph?" She gave Ralph a kiss and Ralph gave her a little kiss back.

"Muah!"

"You like kisses?"

"Ya! Ya!" She clapped her hands.

"You like kisses from Ralph?"

"Ya!" She was practically stuck on him.

"Do you like kisses from Chloe?" Ralph asked.

"Ya!"

"Who's kisses you like more?" I asked her. She looked at both of us. She didn't know who to choose. It made me and Ralph laugh.

"Walph!" That kinda hurt me. Ralph laughed at my reaction.

"Who's your favorite?" Ralph asked. She looked at us again, but answered faster.

"Clowie!" I stuck my tongue out at Ralph. He stuck it back at me, but we accidentally licked each other. He laughed and I got red.

"BearBear?"

"Berber?"

"Yes, BearBear."

"Berber!" I giggled at her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Yes?" I answered Ralph.

"I love youuuu." He made me blush.

"Love you too."

"I woves yousss!" Laiklyn yelled. She said it to me and Ralph.

"I love you Laiklyn." I told her. Ralph kept quiet.
"Say you love her!" I whispered-yelled.

"Oh I thought it'd be weird. I love you and you." Giving us kisses on the cheeks.

"Why would it be weird?"

"Well I barely met your family and I think it would be weird. They don't even know me."

"It's not weird. It just shows that you care for us." I gave him little kisses, same to Laiklyn.

"I love your kisses." Ralph said to me.

"Me too. But I love hers more, sorry love." I pointed at laiklyn.

"Man, that's tough to beat. But I think I still have a chance."

"It's almost a tie, but I think she's better, love."
