Meeting - Chapter 17

Me and Ralph woke up the very next day. I guess we were really tired.
"Wake up!" I told him. He didn't answer. So I did what the best girlfriend would do. I jumped on him.

"Okay, okay I'm up!" He yelled. I was still on him.
"You're lucky you're light."

"Wow. How rude."

"Can you get off of me."

"I'll think about it." Next thing I knew I was thrown off of him.

"I told you to get off loves."

"Yeah, yeah whatever."

"You are to light."

"You think they know we're here?"

"I think so." Me and Ralph got dressed, I was in the bathroom, him in the bedroom. We walked outside my room. We walked into the kitchen. I saw my oldest brother on the phone. Looked like he was calling someone.

"Chloe?" My grandma said.

"Hi grandma."

"I missed you so much mija."

"Miss you too." My brother turned around and saw me.

"Hey ugly, I thought you weren't here."

"No we came around 10."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Chloe who is that? Wait! Is that your boyfriend!" My grandma got excited. She always wanted me to date someone. Never knew why.

"Yes I am. Name is Ralph-."

"Ralph Macchio." My grandpa interrupted.

"Nice you meet you sir." My grandpa looked mad. But he wasn't. Ralph shook his hand.

"Alberto."

"My name is Andrea." Ralph went to shake her hand but my grandma is a hugger. So she hugged Ralph.

"Isaiah."

"Nice to meet you all."

"So how long have y'all been dating?" My Tia asked.

"5 months and 3 days." Ralph answered. Even I was shocked.

"No kids Chloe, you know how me and your mom were."

"Please, I don't even let him hug me sometimes. Let alone do that. I'm not like Isaiah or y'all." My accent came back. Spanish but still sounded Texan. It wasn't thick.

"Hey! You weren't mad about laiklyn!"

"Of course not, she didn't choose to live. And where is she?"

"Sala, with bri." I rolled my eyes. I really didn't like bri sometimes. I went to the living room and saw bri watching tv. While laiklyn was playing.

"Laiklyn, you miss me?" Laiklyn was waking now. She walked to me and clapped her hands.
"I missed you."

"She missed you too. Her first word was your name."

"Really? Say Chloe."

"Clowie."

"You're getting so big!"

"Who's that handsome boy with you?" She's making eyes at Ralph. He was standing in the doorway of the living room.

"My boyfriend."

"Oh. What's your name?" She sounded annoyed when I said he was my boyfriend.

"Ralph Macchio. I was in outsiders."
