Laurent refused to go to sleep that night. He was on high alert while Larry slept, but he wasn't mad because he knew he still had to go to 'work'. They barricaded the house pretty good, though. They put bars on the windows, double bolted all of the doors and guns were hidden everywhere in case someone decided to sneak in. They did agree that if Larry was out at work, Laurent would stay in the house to make sure nothing would happen while he was gone. He was pretty interested in finding out who the dumbasses were that decided to fuck with his brother, and the semi-automatic lying next to him was pretty interested to.

It was fully loaded, and he had two knives lying next to him where he possibly might need them. The only reason he knew how to prepare so well for something like this, whatever this was, was because of what happened to their family a few years back.

Thenthe flashbacks began to surface...

"Mom is gonna' be pissed," Laurent laughed, watching as Larry glared at him in annoyance. "What? They look good!"

"Tattoos, Lau?" Larry snickered. "She's gonna' be more than mad, she's gonna' kill us."

"She better catch me first."

Larry laughed at that, looking down at his forearm at the new sleeve. "I can't believe I sat through that. It didn't even hurt."

"Oh please, you almost pissed yourself," Laurent smirked. Larry shook his head, and they rounded the corner swiftly, the both of them stopping abruptly when they saw the front of their house. Bullet holes were everywhere... in the door, in the windows, and the walls of the house. They immediately charged towards their house, calling out for their mother and their sister, praying that they were safe inside.

As soon as they stepped through the doors, their hearts nearly dropped to the center of the earth. There was blood... everywhere. Blood was on the wall, still rolling down as if it had just happened. Pools of blood stained the carpet and the couches, and broken glass crunched under their feet as they searched the house in tears.

"Mama!" Laurent called, running upstairs. "Eloan! Are you here?"

He rushed to his sister's room first, kicking down the door as hard as he could. He stepped into the room but instantly regretted it when he saw her body... in two separate pieces. Her torso was propped against her pillows and blood spilled from her mouth and nose, while the rest of her body hung off the bed. He could see all of her organs slowly sliding out and she was still bleeding... this had to have happened recently.

"Eloan?"

Laurent whipped around to see Larry standing behind him and he quickly shoved him out of the room, forcing his head away from the scene as he tried to get through to him.

"Larry, listen to me," He said, slapping his brothers face gently as tears began to dampen his cheeks. "Call the police, Larry. Go now, okay?"

"E-Eloan, she...h-her b-body..."

Larry then looked at Laurent, bursting into tears because he could no longer hold them in.

"I know," Laurent whispered, swallowing the lump in his throat. "But you have to focus, okay? Listen to me. Grab your phone, call the police, and pack your bags. Go before someone else calls."

Larry took a minute to process what was being said but he started to nod, rushing to his room to gather his things. Laurent looked back at his sister but he quickly turned his head, knowing that if he looked any longer he wouldn't be able to think straight. He then checked his mothers room, and the only thing he could be thankful for was that Larry wasn't there. There was no body...just a head... his mother's head... and it sat at the foot of his mother's bed while the sheets continued to soak up the blood that was left.
