The following morning, Larry was already up and running before eight a.m. He had to walk to the a few places, phone places included, in order for him to even call an uber, but eventually he got everything together. He needed to get all of his important paperwork back, and it was even easier because most of his information was electronic. He knew with what he did in the past would one day catch up to him so he made copies of his vital information and stored them in his documents on Google in case of anything. It wasn't going to be hard for him to pay for everything either; his bank account wasn't shut down and he was still getting money even after not being active for a day or two.
He also decided to buy Alexis and Laurent phones, too, and he added their phones to his line. He knew it was going to be expensive, but he really wasn't worried about it.
The longer he was out, the more he started thinking; he honestly couldn't help but thank God right now. With everything that happened, shit could have been way worse for him. He already took care of his phone business, logging back into everything and ignoring all of the messages, emails and notifications that popped up, He checked in with his head designers, happy as hell that they were finally doing what he asked, even in his absence. He did need to buy another laptop to keep track of everything, so he made sure to add that to his to-do list as well.
Alexis was allowing him to stay with her until he got back on his feet, but that gave him more of a reason to help her get on her feet too. She was still asleep when he left out, but it was seven in the morning; he was the early bird out of the trio. He was in another uber now, the third and hopefully the last one, as he was on his way to a car dealership. He had all of his bags with him, and he made sure he didn't leave anything behind when he was dropped off. He climbed out of the car quickly, shutting the door before he gathered his bags. There weren't too many, thankfully, but he'd still prefer to be pulling them out of his trunk and not a backseat.
"Mr. Bourgeois!" One of the workers said to him, greeting him with a smile as soon as he walked in. "Long time, no see!"
"Marthaaaa," Larry sang, dropping his bags so he could embrace her in a loving hug. Martha was the only person he allowed to sell him cars. When he got into the Versace business, anyone who tried to sell him his vehicles tried to cheat him; Martha was the only car dealer he met that was honest one, and she always gave him the best of the best. He appreciated her more than anything. "There's been so much going on, but I'm getting back on my feet. You think you could help me pick out a car today?"
"Another one?"
Larry grinned sheepishly, shaking out his twists. "Pleaseee?"
Martha rolled her eyes, waving him off as she guided him through their display cars. "You know I will, Larry. What are you looking for?"
"A truck," he started. "Not too big but not too small. You already know what I need on it, right?"
"You've been coming to me for a while," Martha chuckled. "I know you like you're my son. So... how does this one look?"
Larry smiled at her comment, and he followed her eyes to the truck she was pointing at, humming as he observed it. It was a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and although he loved his Jeeps, the color threw him way off. It was a dark brown with highlights in weird spots, and the rims were way too thick for him. The interior was a simple black and the seats were too close together and barely provided any space.
"I don't like the color. I'll feel old in it."
Martha nodded and she walked him over to the next one, stepping to the side so he could get a closer look at it. "This one is one of the newest models we have; a 2019 Dodge Durango. Now I don't know how you feel about these, but I think this is a good fit for you. What do you think?"
