Alexis leaned against Larry's chest, her eyes shut softly as Larry massaged her shoulders, placing sweet kisses on the top of her head and her cheeks.
"You want to talk now?" He asked, resting his chin on her shoulder. "Or do you want me to go first?"
"Mmmm, you go," she hummed. "You're one of the CEO's of Versace...you have to have some dramatic back story."
Though her tone was riddled with mockery, she wasn't far off at all. He did have a dramatic back story.. one that he wasn't ready to be truthful about yet.
Or maybe he should; honesty is important, right?
"Okay," Larry sighed, wrapping his arms around hers "I grew up in a small town in France called Sarcelles. My brother, the one I was with when you called the other day, he's literally my twin. Same birthday and everything, I'm just cuter."
Alexis laughed a little and she swatted his arm, waiting for him to continue. "Unfortunately for us, our dad didn't want twins, so our mom did her best to care for us by herself. It took a toll on me and my brother, and all we had was each other...or at least that's what it felt like. At one point... I did try to end my life because of him."
Larry sat up a little, tapping Alexis' thigh so she could get up. She moved off of his lap when she saw he was trying to get on his knees and she watched him carefully, frowning when he pulled his shirt off. She hadn't said anything yet, listening and watching intently as he revealed himself to her. "If you look a little close, you can see where I tried to."
He held his tatted forearm up, stiffening up when she mindlessly ran her finger over it. She leaned in a little, frowning deeply when she finally got a good look at the scar. It was a thick scar, but you couldn't see it because of his tattoos. It started from his wrist and damn near trailed all the way down to the creasing in his elbow. She couldn't understand how he sat there and opened his arm that deep...but she didn't even ask questions.
She looked back up at him, opening her mouth to speak but he shook his head, knowing she wanted to comfort him. He didn't want her to.
"I'm good now," Larry smiled. He sat back down, and she crawled over to him, resting the back of her head in his lap this time. "Those were some difficult times, though. It led me to be a street kid and before I knew it me and my brother were toting guns and selling more than five pounds of coke every single day. We really got deep into it but that didn't work out for us because our family ended up becoming a target to one of our buyers."
"Gang related?"
Larry nodded, sighing deeply. "I did a lot of bad things after that...things I'm not ready to tell you yet. I have a lot of enemies though, love. I feel like I should at least tell you that."
"You're kidding," Alexis chuckled a little, wanting to believe him but for some reason she couldn't. "The CEO of Versace has enemies? Didn't you leave that all behind?"
"I wish I was kidding," Larry replied, smiling half heartedly. "But I haven't been active in gang related anything for a few years -"
"Hold up," Alexis scoffed, sitting up quickly. "You've been a CEO for a few years, so how many years of that are we talking?"
Larry hesitated, opening his mouth to answer her but nothing came out. Instead, he ran a hand over his face, seriously contemplating if he should lie or tell the truth.
"Am I talking to a fucking wall, Larry?"
"Can you give me a minute?" Larry snapped. Alexis eyes widened and she scoffed again, this time letting out a dry laugh.
