Reim Lunettes x Reader: Paperwork

"Xerxes you bastard.." Reim muttered as he walked into the office with yet another massive pile of paperwork.

"Again?" You asked well frowning your brow "Yes...again.." he sighed.

"You really need to learn to say no Reim" you said and gave a pity filled smile.

"I know.. but this is Xerxes we're talking about.." he said and set the pile down on his desk.

"So what if it's Xerxes? That clown can do his own work!" You exclaimed and Reim chuckled "haha.. (Y/n) you know that he's working on other things.."

He looked at you "haah..I know..still I feel bad seeing you do all that work, Plus your own!" You pouted.

"Well I can't have anyone other then you finding out about Xerx's little excursions, so really there's no one I can ask.." he started looking through the pile.

"Oh yeah..I really guess there's-" you cut yourself off since a idea had popped into your head.

Reim looked at you " 'i really guess there's'?" He repeated you "oh! -No one else! Sorry for pausing!" You smiled and rubbed the back of your head.

Reim gave you a odd look then turned back to his new obligation "it's fine, just don't do that around Duke Barma or he'll tease you about your speech"

"Ptff! The only one that deserves teasing about they're speech is him! Thou art an eccentric old fart that doesn't knowest his own-" you stopped yourself since Reim was staring at you with wide eyes.

"hey what's with that look?" You asked then felt someone poke your shoulder "Exactly who art thou referring to as the ' eccentric old fart?' Miss (L/n)?"

by the voice and speech you could tell exactly who it was "Duke..Barma..." you muttered and cringed, then turned around and looked at the tall redhead.

"Um.." you began slowly muttering an apology well also trying to prepare yourself for the large metal fan that might come your way.

"Duke Barma sir i was-" your were going to continue but Reim jumped in between you and Barma "a-ah! Duke Barma sir! What brings you here?" He asked.

Barma raised a brow at him then returned to his normal expression "I half come in seek of your assistance Reim. As you must already know Valentine's is upon us"

"oh yes..do you need me to send for Duchess Rainsworth?" Reim asked and the look on Barma's face changed entirely.

"Ah ha yes I would very much like that. do hurry, i cannot wait to see the look on her face when she sees what I half prepared for this Valentine's!" Barma put his hand on his chin and nodded his head well smiling.

"I will hurry. now if you would follow me back to the manner I could write down what you would like the messenger to say" "yes, yes" Reim held the door open and Barma walked out.

Before Reim walked out he looked back to you and gave a weak smile, you waved at him and mouthed a 'Thank you' then he left.

You let out a long sigh of relief and looked over at Reim's desk 'well this is the perfect opportunity to make work of my plan to help him' you thought and walked over to his desk.

'Alright, now where to start?' You gave the pile a good look over then started organizing.

  - Time Skip -

After what felt like years of organizing you were done..well almost done, the last thing you had to do was bring the folder you held in your hands down to the main desk on the lower floor.

The door clicked open which made you look up "oh Reim!" You gleamed, excited to see what he'd say "oh hello (Y/n)- w-WHERE'S THE PILE!?"

He shouted and ran over to the desk and looked around it "heh" you giggled and he looked at you "t-This isn't funny (Y/n)! If someone finds out that Xerxes isn't doing his work-!!"

You waved the folder in front of you and his words died on his lips. He walked over to you "did you..?" You nodded and grinned.

He looked shocked "w-Wow..thank you (Y/n).." he said, a faint red playing on his face "your welcome Reim, I plan on helping you out from now on so don't try and shoulder everything yourself okay?"

He nodded "I'll try. But..I have to ask, why did you?" You widened your eyes at his question.

Why? Well you could tell him it's because you felt bad for him and leave it at that, but today's Valentine's why not tell him the truth and say that you've had a crush on him for the longest time now.

You looked to your feet, took a deep breath then raised your head to meet his eyes but instead met his lips "Mm!?"

Your eyes widened and the folder in your hands fell to the ground, Once you snapped out of your shock you closed your eyes and kissed back.

after a few moments Reim backed off and the two of you gasped for air "haah..i-I apologize (Y/n).. but I think I've f-fallen in love with you.."

Your eyes widened once again "u-uh.. theres's n-no need to apologize Reim b-because I think- no I know I've fallen In love with you" you looked straight into his bronze eyes when saying the last part.

He flushed a deep red and looked down well trying his best to avoid eye contact "r-Really?" He asked "yes" you took a step forward, put a hand under his chin and made his eyes meet your (E/c) one's.

"(Y/n).." he muttered "I.. love you too.." you smiled at the sound of him saying that and hugged him tightly.

"Best Valentine's ever!" You exclaimed which made Reim chuckle.

He hugged you back and then the two of you enjoyed the rest of your Valentine's together.
