Cheshire Cat x Chain!Reader: Memories

"Neeeow" The Cheshire Cat yawned as he woke from his cat nap, he looked up to see you sitting on what looked like a crumbled piece of a building.

"(Y/n), what are you doing meow?" He asked as he stood up, you looked down at him.

you were a bit surprised your cat eared friend had woken up, you expected him to sleep for another hour or two.

"Oh Cheshire your up" you said and he nodded, he hopped up to where you were and took a seat beside you.

"So meow, tell me what you're doing up here" he said and brought his knees to his chest in his sitting position, he leaned his head over and looked at you.

You batted your large (E/c) eyes at the cat boy, it was astounding how cute he could be and not even try.

You turned your head away "Ahem" you coughed to try and focus yourself on his question "'what am I doing was it's?" You asked.

He nodded "meow" "well.." you began and looked off into the never ending distance of the Abyss.

"I was just thinking of my past.." you said and Cheshire's ears popped up "past meow?" "Mhmm..before I became a chain.." you said.

"You were friends with 'Alice' right meow?" He asked and you nodded "well..I wouldn't call us friends but I did know about her and talk to her once in awhile threw the window on my way home.."

"Ah! Neow I remember!" He said "you brought sweets for Alice meow! And Catnip for Cheshire meow!" He exclaimed with big eyes well..eye.

You raised a brow "I did?" You questioned "mhmm meow!" He nodded and grinned, you smiled "hah..I guess I forgot that.." you said and looked down.

Long ago before you were a chain you were a normal girl who delivered fruits to the Baskerville estate from your families farm.

You were young at the time and hoped that once you became a adult you would open a bakery since that was your dream but one day when you were delivering fruits to the Baskerville estate the ground began to rumble and you were dropped into the place known as the Abyss.

After that darkness began to consume you until the Cheshire cat showed up and saved you, he brought you to 'The intention of the Abyss' where she surprisingly recognized you, though you didn't under stand how, you were sure you hadn't met her but still you played along.

In the end you had been in the Abyss to long and your body had become more Chain then human which meant that you could not leave and that the destine fate was to die.

But then 'The Intention of the Abyss' had a idea.

The idea that you would become a Chain and work under the command of herself, to this you agreed, you didn't care as long as it meant you'd still draw the occasional breath and that you wouldn't lose your sanity.

You now lived the life of a Chain and were destine to stay in the Abyss for all eternity, though you did not mind, you liked it here no matter how hard to believe that was.

You had Cheshire and 'Alice' thought you called her 'Milady' it was a very nice setup you had, no one tried to hurt you and no one ever lied to you.

But still no story is just made of happiness and that meant that there was a catch to you becoming a Chain and that was that with time you would eventually lose your all memories of ever being human.

For sometime you worried over this but then after who knows how many years you came to the realization that even if you lost those memories you would still have the people you held close to you now and that even if you kept them you could never go back so why worry yourself with the inevitable?

You smiled to yourself though you were deep in thought, Cheshire noticed your smile and tilted his head.

'(Y/n) is thinking again meow? But when she thinks she gets upset meow and when (Y/n) is upset everyone is upset meow Cheshire should do something' he thought.

He leaned in to you and licked your cheek making your eyes go wide a shiver shoot up your spine.

"Nneee!" You squealed and Cheshire sat back, you quickly turned to him "c-Cheshire! Why did you..!?" You frantically questioned though you weren't entirely surprised, this wasn't exactly the first time he had licked you out of the blue.

He licked the side of his paw then rubbed behind his ear "you were thinking meow, Cheshire does not like it when you think meow" he said, you raised a brow then smiled softly.

"Cheshire..were you concerned for me?" You asked and he blinked his sole Crimson eye "neoow..." he averted his eye and a grin grew on your face.

You crawled closer to him, making him fidget a bit "thank Cheshire" you said into his ear, his face turned a slight shade of red.

"y-Your welcome..'Ten' " he murmured, 'Ten' was your Chain name meaning 'Ten of Heart' which was the 'Card' you represented and that also meant Cheshire was a bit flustered because he only called you by that name when he was.

You took this as a opportunity to toy with the cat boy "aww! You a the cutest when flustered!" You teased and hugged him tightly.

"Let us see that cute expression!" You exclaimed, he slowly turned his head and met your (E/c) eyes with his Crimson one.

"Happy neow?" he snickered well narrowing his eye, you smiled "yes" you said and leaned in to him.

You leaned in all the way and placed a quick peck on his lips, he widened his eye and you sat back with a small smile.

He licked his lips then wrapped his arms around your waist and leaned into you, Kissing you and surprising you.

"Mm.." after a moment or two he broke off and leaned his forehead on yours "(Y/n) tastes better then catnip Meow" you raised a brow.

"Hah! So that's why you kissed back for once.." you said with a chuckle as wrapped your arms around his neck.

You placed a kiss on his nose "I love you Cheshire" you said happily, he looked at you then closed his eye.

"No I didn't..I just..kissed you because I love you too meow.." he stated with a slightly pink face "so don't worry about losing your memories meow.."

You widened your eyes " 'cause when your head goes empty we can make new memories meow" you smiled.

"Your such a silly kitty! I gave up worrying about that years ago! You and Milady are all I care about now!" You said and squeezed him.

"NEEEEOW!" He yelped and you let out a yawn "haah..I'm tired all of a sudden..Catnap!" You shouted and pulled him with you as you fell onto your back.

Cheshire tried to wiggle out of your arms but found it to be pointless so instead he just held you back as the two of you eventually fell asleep.
