Xerxes Break x Kitty Cat! Reader Back at 'cha!

"Neeeow..." you yawned as you stretched your arms out while walking down the hall at the Rainsworth manor.

You rubbed your eyes as an attempt to try and get them to stay open but since you had been up practically all night, it was to no use.

Why were you up late? Well a certain someone had thought you would be perfect for a mission and decided to offer up your assistance without even asking you.

So now you were heading to the certain someone's room to give them a rude awaking.

"Heh..." you chuckled to yourself as you neared his bedroom door. It was 5 am so you guessed he would still be asleep.

Once at the door you reached into your pocket and pulled out a key then unlocked the door and slipped into the room.

The room was dark but luckily you had your heightened senses on your side. You tiptoed into the room with ease and once at his bedside pounced onto the bed.

"Good morning!!" You shouted as you enveloped the sheets, only, once you did you realized- "huh? No... Break meow?" You muttered.

WHAP

"MEO-!?" you went to squeal but your mouth was covered as you were attacked from behind.

You widened your eyes and tried to wiggle out of whoever's grip "fufu~ Such a mischievous little Kitty~" the person whispered in your ear, making your tail and ears stick up.

'Break!' You mentally yelped 'but how did he-?' You thought but your train of thought was cut short once Break accidentally stepped on your tail.

"Meooooow!!!" You screamed and bit down on his hand which made him let you go.

You fell forward and onto the bed well Break clinched his teeth and waved his hand "Bloody..." he muttered and you glared at him.

"That was mean!" You exclaimed, making him blink his crimson eye wide "I didn't mean to hurt your tail dear, it was your fault for wiggling" he replied.

You rubbed your tail and pouted "well what would you do if someone attacked you out of nowhere?" You asked and he smirked.

"Well first I would anticipate their attack and not be there when they do~" he said which made your eyes grow wide.

"So...you knew I would try and get back at you all along, didn't you?" You asked and he nodded "mhmm, you always do try" he said as he walked over to the bed.

He took a seat on the edge of the bed and leaned his head back to look at you "don't you know by now that I'll always figure you out?" He asked.

You looked at him then closed your eyes and sighed "haah... so you're saying I should just give up?" You questioned as you opened your eyes to meet his crimson one.

"Xerxes?" You wrapped your tail around his neck as you cocked your head to the side.

"No... I always love the game of figuring out your plans~ so don't give up. Try and try until you can get back at me" he said with a cute smile.

You looked at him then sighed "haah... I never knew you had so much fun foiling my attempts..." you muttered and reached into your pocket.

"What can I say? I love a good game of Cat and Mouse~" he said with a chuckle at his own pun as you pulled out a tin of candies.

Break raised a brow "ah? When did you start carrying those?" He asked and you shrugged "when I asked you for one and you practically made me jump through hoops to get it. Oh and you do not get one" you replied.

Break pouted "Boo~ it was all in good fun, you take everything so seriously!" he whined and you glanced at him.

"Haah.." you sighed then handed him one "here, stop being a baby" you said and he took it then instantly popped it into his mouth.

"Ya-! Mm!! Bleeh!" He cut himself off and spat out the candy "what in the world was that horrible thing!?" He asked and you tried to keep a straight face.

But alas his big, watery and pouting frown made you break into uncontrollable laughter "Ptff!! Hahaha!!"

Break looked at you in confusion as you rolled around on the bed. He wasn't in the least bit amused by you ignoring his question.

Break raised a brow and cocked his head to the side, he spotted that horrible tin of candies you had that now was laying on the floor.

He leant down and picked it up "hm?" He hummed as he noticed the label peeling off.

He took a hold of the label and pulled it off fully, revealing the true label underneath "Cat treats? 'Make your kitty as jolly as can be with our catnip enhanced cubes'?" Break read the label aloud.

He frowned his brow and let out a small grunt "ugh, no wonder it was so salty" he muttered then glanced to you.

"(Y/n)" he started in a voice that made your laughing come to a stop. You dared a look and saw him eying you.

"Meow?" You squeaked questioningly as you braced yourself. Break took a breath and you clinched your eyes shut.

"Well done" he said sincerely, making you widen your eyes in disbelief "Huh?" You said as you sat up.

"I said well done. You finally got me back" he answered. You paused, for the most part you had expected him to be upset, but, praise? Really?

"You're... not... upset... are you meow?" You asked while scooting a bit away just in case.

He blinked his eye at you "why ever would I be? My cute little Kitty actually used her brain and used her claws for once~ I'm pleased" he replied, not sparing any sharp comments as he did so.

You twitched your ear and brow "eh... well, I'll ignore that one part and take it as praise. Yay meow!" You cheered with a smile.

"Oh but (Y/n) I just remembered that I need to tell you one thing about that mission I asked you to help with" he spoke out.

"You never asked for my help" you stated "don't dwell on the past my dear, haven't I always told you that?" He replied, making you roll your eyes.

"Anyway, come closer. It's top secret" he whispered and you raised a brow but did as told.

"What? The mission was pretty simply, I didn't notice anythi-" you widened your eyes once cut off by the devilish Hatter's lips.

Your face turned a slight pink and Break deepened the surprise kiss just a little. You put your hand on the males chest and pushed him a bit.

He let off and grinned "well that got rid of that horrible taste, thank goodness" he said, making you widen your eyes and open your mouth to speak but only

"Meehfu!" You said as Break took the opportunity to pop one of your so called candies in your mouth.

"Don't you know, it's rude to talk with food in your mouth dear" Break stated with a contented grin.

You glared at him and latched onto his collar "Aww do forgive me, if you do I'll give you a kiss?" You said sarcastically as you pulled him closer.

Break leaned back "oh you are not sneaking that horrible thing into my mouth!" He exclaimed with a slight smile.

"Oh come now Break! It's only catnip!"
