Week 1
Day 1

Nothing.

George ruffled his hair in frustration and despair.

Nothing was working.

George sobbed lightly, alone in the laboratory. He had spent day and night in the lab, looking for a solution. Nothing. He had to keep searching. He had to make sure Dream didn't. . .

No.

Dream was not going to die. He couldn't. George needed him. He needed the way Dream's hair blew around in the wind, he needed the way Dream smiled like there was no problem, he needed the way Dream looked at him like he was. . . important.

At the thought of Dream's smile, George flustered, embarrassed at how Dream affected him. George shook his head, pulling himself out of his head. Solution. He needed a solution to Dream's problem. He could do it. He had to.

Maybe when he solved the problem, he and Dream could go for some dinner. Maybe they could stare into each other's eyes, Dream's cheeks blushing slightly. Maybe they could hold hands, Dream's hand tight in his own. Maybe they could. . . one thing at a time.

George sighed and pulled a gold nugget from the cabinet, ready to attempt something else.

Day 2

Sapnap fidgeted mindlessly, face painted with worry. George had just fainted, having not slept in a few days. He was worried for both his friends. They were both on the brink of death, in different ways. He didn't want to be alone. He hated being alone. He couldn't stand the thought of being without his best friends. He hated admitting it, but it was his greatest death. Loneliness. A life without George and Dream was no life. He didn't know how he would handle if they left. Maybe he would kill himself. Maybe he would destroy the world. Maybe he'd run away and hide.

Sapnap himself was having his own separate problems. His eye kept changing. One minute it was black, the next, white. His other eye was always white, the result of Dream's death.

Not only that, but he was hearing voices. He was tempted to visit Techno, ask about them. He knew that Techno's voices asked for blood. His were different.

Say your goodbyes.

His tried to convince him Dream was going to die.

Not much longer.

They lie.

Gone forever.

Right?

Day 3

This was what not what he wanted.

He didn't want his friends to be panicked. He just wanted to spend his last days happy, creating as many memories as he could. Instead, his friends spent all their time looking for a cure, but deep down, Dream knew there was no cure. His time was limited.

Dream took a deep breath, creeping around the corner to see Sapnap sitting on the counter, burying his face in his hands.

"Hey, Sap." Sapnap lifted his head tiredly.

"Hey, Dream. How are you doing?"

"I'm doing good. You should get some sleep, you know." Dream was worried for his friend's health.

"I-I can't. I can't sleep." Sapnap confessed, and Dream smiled softly.

"Hey, uh, I'm going to Phil and Techno to tell them something, do you wanna come?" Dream offered, hoping Sapnap would accept.

"Yeah, sure." Sapnap stood up and followed Dream out of the castle.

————————————————————————

"So what is it that you're going to tell them?" Sapnap questioned.

"Well, I don't know if you'll take this well." Dream warned, and Sapnap shrugged.

"Lay it on me."

"I- I don't think there's a cure." Dream admitted. Sapnap stopped dead in his tracks.

"Yes there is." Sapnap's eyes were gleaming, tiredness gone. "Don't say that, Dream. Please. I can't imagine a world without you."

Dream stared at the ground. He didn't want to leave. He didn't want his friends to mourn for too long. He wanted his friends to move on, live a happy life.

————————————————————————

Dream knocked on Techno's door, Sapnap standing behind him. Techno swiftly swung open the door and let the two inside. They took a seat on the couch, Dream and Sapnap sitting next to each other.

"Where's Phil?" Dream asked, as the older man was nowhere to be seen.

"I'm right here. Hey, Dream, Sapnap." Phil popped into the room with a cup, probably coffee or something warm.

"Hey Phil." Sapnap greeted.

"So? What are you guys here for?" Techno asked.

"I have something to tell you guys." Dream started, carefully watching Techno and Phil's expressions. "I don't think there's a cure to my problem."

Phil's face changed drastically, from a warm and happy face to a shocked and upset face. Techno, on the other hand, had a very small reaction, which was more than usual. Techno pressed his lips together, giving off a sense of nervousness.

"W-what do you mean?" Phil breathed, not wanting to believe Dream.

"I don't have much time left." Dream sighed. "I just wanted to live the rest of my life happily. I want to make new memories. Good ones."

The room was silent. Phil and Techno were processing the information, and Dream was watching them. Sapnap just sat in silence, staring at his hands in his lap.

"How about a little PVP then?" Techno suggested.

A/N - Let me know if you guys wanna see the pvp game~ (cuz I'm too lazy to write it right now.)
