Walking back to the mall, I check whether I have all my stuff with me.
Except for the knife I threw at the tagger, everything is still there.
I look up at the night sky, starting to wonder about what Chishiya had said.
Beach, huh?
What could that beach be?
I mean, of course it could be a real beach, but I don't really think he meant that kind of beach.
I guess I'll see it someday.
I hadn't taken the card of the tag game with me because when I went to the table to grab it, it was already gone.
Looking at my arm wound, I notice it's probably not that dramatic.
As I wander around the streets, I try to find my way back in the darkness.
Eventually, I stop in front of the entrance.
I open the doors, quickly running up the stairs to the next floor.
Then I approach the store Ray, Taylor and I are camped in.
When I enter it, I can hear muffled whispering.
I approach the sound and find a worried Taylor sitting on the bed while Ray is trying to comfort her.
At first, both of them don't see me in the darkness, but they both look up when I step even closer.
Taylor's watery eyes look at me, and she quickly jumps off of the bed, running at me.
She crashes into me, wrapping her arms around me tightly.
A few seconds later, I can also feel Ray's arms around me.
But they're hugging me way too tight.
"I can't breathe" I manage to mumble, making the two of them let me go.
"Where were you?" Ray asks, checking my face for any injuries.
"It's almost sunrise, and we were so worried!"
Then he takes a hold of my wounded arm.
"Y/n... What happened in that game?" He asks slowly.
"Yeah, that wound is from a gun. You can be glad it only scraped you" Taylor says, taking my arm from Ray.
I slowly pull my arm away.
"I'm fine. The game was pretty intense, though. And unfortunately, I also couldn't get the game card. Someone already took it before me." I tell them.
"I still don't get why you'd participate in that game without even having to." Ray shakes his head.
"It was worth the experience. Now I know how hard Spades games can be. I mean, that was a Five of Spades game, but I have to admit it was very exhausting." I tell them before a yawn leaves my lips.
"I also ended up getting a bit lost on the way back" I chuckle nervously, scratching the back of my head.
But then, my arm starts stinging again.
"It's starting to bleed again" Taylor says sternly.
"I'll patch it up for you. As you might know, I'm a nurse" She says, grabbing hold of my arm again.
I chuckle.
"No way! I never knew!" I tell her, my words laced with sarcasm.
She rolls her eyes at me, before instructing Ray to get everything she needs.
