"Ichiru...you idiot" my body moved quickly to his side, ignoring Zero in the process. My hands reached out to him, "Don't touch him" his harsh words managed to strike something in me. Meeting Zero's glaring lavender eyes we stood still. "You're the one that...the one that made him stay with that...w-with that man" "N-No you're w-wrong Zero, Rin tried to get me away b-ut I d-idn't listen. She gave into my request and told me to continue playing the part b-ut to-""To not attack him" Ichiru chuckled weakly "Yes to not *cough* a-attack him"

With my nail I cut my skin open just enough to let blood flow through. "Here" taking his weakened body in my arms I positioned him so he could face my palm. The scarlet liquid trickled down my skin and into his parted lips. "My blood will help" he gulped the liquid without resistance. The effects were quick; his once pale skin regained the little color it had lost, body returning to its normal temperature, while his wound sealed up and stopped bleeding. I grimaced at how deep it had been. I'll kill that bastard for harming one of my own.

"Ha-ha, what is with a that look, master" "Hn"

"Is it true, that man that Kaname wants me to defeat, is he really after Yuki?" 'and you?' he let the last words be questioned silently in his mind.

I froze mid-step. 'Yes, he's after our blood. Uncle craves for the blood of Yuki's mother. That and I have always been a target' glancing over my shoulder briefly I met his sharp gaze. 'He knew that I existed, from what I can guess since after the incident involving the deaths of Juri Kuran and Haruka Kuran' realization crossed his expression. "He was the one that sent those bastards after you..." I nodded in confirmation.

"Rin what will we do..*couch*" "You will rest, although your wound has healed, your already weak body cannot handle the large amount of blood loss. I will take you to a safe to rest comfortably" picking his light body I began walking off. 'You should head out and search for the others, the sun has set, more will come, and I doubt they can handle them' his calloused hand gripped my shoulder. "If anything happens to Ichiru..I swear I'll Kill you" he harshly whispered in my ear before storming off on the opposite direction.

"I'm glad I have you Ichiru, you are calmer and more delicate, so unlike Zero who is cold and slightly violent" my voice was carried off through the empty halls. "I can hear you, vampire" "Huh, the walls are speaking to me...creepy" mocking him I sped up as his feet thumped against the stone floors. "R-Rin..." "He has to be riled up, the angrier he is the more Level Es he will kill" "How mot-tivational" "Just rest" a purple circle appeared where I laid my hand, his consciousness fading instantly. "Just wait, soon we will return home"

My whole body ached with thirst. Each step was agonizing, every breath brought me closer to losing the restraint I held onto. The air smelled of blood, the rich and sweet scent tempting me to sink my teeth into the corpses that littered the ground. I can't...resist just a little more. My body sunk to the ground, hands clawing at my throat in a futile attempt to ease my thirst. "...Zero you can do anything...you are the strongest" "Shut up, shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!?" No, I can't let myself be deceived, Rin you knew about everything and yet did nothing. Because of you, because of you Yuki, Yuki was in danger...because of you I...am hurting

I pushed myself forward, ignoring the weakened state of my body. A single thought on my mind, I have to protect Yuki. Yuki is the target of that man. Taking a hold of my weapon I continued to stumble with each step. "Have..to get to...Yuki" I almost sighed in relief at the sight of the door leading to the roof of the building, my hand reached forward. "Almost there..."

Yuki's screams echoed through the night. Her fear and anguish caused a rush of dread to pass over my heart as I hurried. My body soundlessly traveled through the rooftops, eyes scanning the area for any disturbance. How troublesome, I should have dropped him off at one of the unoccupied rooms. The closer I came to the building, the more clear his presence became and the more my anger boiled inside of me. "Lets have a fun reunion uncle"
