I let my weapon coil around the assaulters; my powers entering them. Their bodies convulsed for a moment and dispersed to dust. 'Are you all okay?' I drawled out lifelessly. They flinched. "T-Thank you R-rin" her voice stuttered, and eyes avoided my gaze. "La-"glancing at him he paused. Clearing his throat, he composed himself and bowed slightly. "We are grateful for your help Lord Rin" his outrageous change in attitude made my body move backwards. 'Don't do that ever again, it gave me the chills'
A vein throbbed on his temple, yet he did not throw a tantrum like he would usually do. "Yuki" moving aside I let Kaname walk towards her. "What are you doing out here?" I moved closer; Aido tensed as I settled beside him. Her gaze lowered; limps trembled, and hands scrunched her uniform jacket. "Something is about to happen in the academy isn't it? that's why I.." she stopped as he placed his hand on her cheek.
"You shouldn't be so careless; your condition is still...unstable" he hesitantly continued unsure if it was the right word. 'She should rest, is there any quiet place she can be taken to?' I implied. "Aido take Yuki to a quiet place so she can rest" knowing Yuki it will be a challenge to get her to agree. Ignoring their chatter, I scanned the area. Many more Level Es are approaching. It won't take long before he awakens
"-in, Rin" by instinct I changed Gin's form. Snapping back at the sound of a gasp my head turned. My blade rested against Kaname's throat; a small drop of blood trickled down. "Rin" withdrawing the weapon I focused my attention on him. 'Yes?' "We still have much to do" nodding I followed after him quietly. "Be careful Kaname...Rin" he turned to offer her a smile, but I ignored her and kept walking. I am Rin Cross, the daughter of Shizuka...we are nothing
"Kaname I have to retrieve something from my room" his feet stopped. "I see" his body swiftly turned and faced mine. "Rin why do you continue to push Yuki and me away?" I can't meet his eyes because I know I'll give in. his eyes that I loved and cherished for they were the only ones that ever gazed at me with care and yet they also glared at me insensibly. My hand clenched, nails digging into my flesh and drawing blood. "I can't be fooled again...I don't want to go back to that naïve girl from before" meeting his soft gaze with dull eyes I let a tear slide down. "I never want to be that girl ever again"
I walked away from him not waiting for a response. I can imagine the sound of something snapping, a thread of sorts that tied us together. He was the fool that deceived himself and fervently created something fraudulent. You knew since the beginning that I want no part in that family and yet you still held onto that dream. Kaname you are a fool.

The door grumbled in protest as I opened it, ahead lay nothing but darkness. It was a void that threatened to swallow anything that entered. Vibrant ruby eyes glanced inside, narrowing them slightly the shadows stirred; vicious whispers, and taunting giggles echoed about. "Release" at my command the void disappeared unveiling the inside. "Thanks"
My mind raced, each step I took thumping against the floor. I can do this. The weapon is mine to wield, a gift from her to protect myself. I can wield it as I have done in the past...right?
Touch me with so much doubt in you and I will consume you!? Jerking back at the ravenous voice inside my head, my body halted. Weak...Pathetic how dare you, how..DARE YOU!? A weak mind such as yours cannot handle me. GO AWAY!!!
A new determination set in, eyes alit with a new fire. "Shut up how dare you speak to me that way...I am your master" I took confident strides forward "You will bend to my will, you are my weapon for now and evermore...Asra" beneath my fingertips a strong power pulsed and the air vibrated around me. Dark smoke and blue flames encased my body as a single drop of scarlet touched the ground. "My master, master...my queen" the sword hummed as soon as my fingers grazed the handle, it's power vibrating and beating against my skin. "It's time to end the first wave of hardships, Asra" "As you wish my queen"
"R-Rin" a voice squeaked behind me. Swiveling my body, I came face to face with Takuma; the blonde boy which carried Senri's unconscious body over his shoulder. 'What is it?' I watched as he regained his composure, yet his expression remained that of terror and worry. "I-I....I" 'What!' I hissed at him in annoyance not regretting it even after he flinched and stepped backwards. "Lo-Lord Rido will soon, h-he will..." 'I know' I brushed past him brushing my hand against his shoulder reassurance. 'Stay safe and keep the other's safe as well' "Yes L-Lady Rin"
"Where are you calling me to, Kaname?" I icily mumbled following his presence. My steps froze as I sensed a familiar presence inside. Zero? Why are they together...no matter Kaname knows what he's doing right?
Entering as quietly as possible I pressed myself against the wall to blend in with the darkness. "-pawn I carefully nurtured is almost strong enough to devour the King" That's why you let him live, so cruel and totally you. Kaname chuckled lowly, his wine-red eyes casting a short glance in my direction before settling on Zero again.
"You will be the one to kill Rido, the monster just rose from his coffin" 'Huh?' "Isn't it obvious, you cannot ignore the pulsing of what you willingly took or am I wrong Rin" his dark mocking tone made the air's temperature drop. "No. Kaname's blood, Shizuka's and Yuki's are all reacting to the awakening of Rido. Pureblood blood: you are now the strongest vampire hunter, Zero"
"Shut up!? Hahaha, did you think I would lift a finger?" My eyes narrowed, the darkness stirring and calling as I did so. "I know that you will never betray Rin and Yuki. I will take them both away from this academy however as long as Rido continues to exist he will not stop, he will continue to come after them to devour them" Zero's lavender eyes widened in shock, his face morphing into one of terror. His head slowly turned in my direction, our eyes meeting; a silent message passing between us.
"Goodbye" Kaname's strides towards me were aggressive as was his hold on my wrist as he pulled me out of the 'cell'.
"Kaname, let go" "Stay with me" yanking my arm back and cradling it, I scowled at him. "To make it clear, I am not going with you and the others" vibrant eyes glared at me hatefully.
The shattering of a tree's trunk enlightened me about how severe his mood was. Yet I defiantly took a step forward, straightened my back and held my head high. "I am not changing my mind no matter if you throw a tantrum" my flesh was wounded, the small cut dribbling with blood and healed just as quickly. "This is final Kaname" cracks appeared on the ground whenever his foot touched the pavement.
"Rin after this the Senate will not stay quiet they will go after you and so will the hunter's association. They know of your exis-" "They only know of Yuki...only Rido knows of me but he will be defeated and my existence will die with him"
His hand pulled the strands of his dark-brown hair in frustration. "We cannot be certain; all those Level Es are slaves...they could have reported the senate of your existence" "I am simply a new pureblood vampire that was under the care of Kaien Cross. I am not in anyway related to the Kuran family, not by looks or powers....I will not go"
"We'll see, come we must prepare for our uncle's visit" clenching my jaw I held back a retort and simply followed behind him. "Very well let us greet our uncle"
