"What will you do Zero?" I mindlessly glanced around; my thoughts focused solely on the two presences that were together. "Ichiru hurry....I need my knight" Empty eyes continued to scan the area the darkened even more as the sun continued to set. "Rin"

We gazed at one another, unmoving and monotonously. "Rima and Senri" their faces became clearer the closer they walked. "How are you both?" turning back to the scenery I waited. "We're much better right Senri?" "Yes"

The night is coming and soon a new wave will crash against this school, will we be able to handle it. Rido has not made a move, what is he waiting for. Will Asra be enough to defeat him? What am I thinking. Asra is a gift from mother and is infused with power that only I can tap into, it will be enough I am sure.

"Do we have to call you Lady Rin from now on?" turning to the two, Senri flinched as his gaze met mine. "Hmm...no just call me Rin" Rimas' body tensed as she prepared herself to speak. "Rin, are you related to that men that took over Senri's body?" jumping down from my perch I approached her tentatively. "He is a member of the Kuran family...so yes and no" "What do mean?" memories of my life with them flashed in my mind. All the insults and punishments, their neglecting and hate that left a scar. I shivered inwardly the stinging of all the mistreatment crawling over my body the more I remembered. As I was about to sink in deeper a cold -yet warmth filled- hand was set on my shoulder, everything disappeared. The memories withering away to nothing.

"Rin" His eyes met mine though they were empty I couldn't help but relax. "Sorry. I have the Kuran families blood, but I was never a part of it" "I see" "Mhmm" his hand left my shoulder and reached into his pocket. "Want some?" smiling softly I nodded and took the offered snack. "We were saving them for when we found you" tilting my head I offered them a small smile. "Thanks"

The pleasant atmosphere shattered when the heavy scent of Zero's blood wafted through the air. My whole body froze, eyes staring to the general direction of Zero and Ichiru. What are they doing? Ichiru you better not..do that.... I shook my head. He wouldn't go back on his word, please let my faith on him be just and well given. "Rin" meeting the two pairs of worried eyes I breathed in. "It's nothing" A doubtful look crossed their eyes and left just as quick. "Okay"

My hand pulled out the eyes patch that I had stuffed in my pocket and fastened it in place. My fingers caressed the fabric in contempt, before I would have never dared to let anyone else see my eye in fear of being recognized by Kaname or rumors to spread that would later on lead to him finding me. A bitter smile crossed my lips that remained covered by my mask. The fight is approaching quicker but I know the end of it will come sooner.

"Why cover your eye when almost everyone has already seen it?" I shrugged "Old habits die hard" "How long have you had to cover it?" I mockingly raised my fingers to count. "Let's see...One, two, three, four, since I was around seven years old. Yeas around that age..." "You don't remember" I shook my head and slumped my shoulders. "I don't" "It's not something to get depressed over...just stop it" "I'm trying to remember...it was around the time I went back to Papa, so I was around seven to nine years old...?" "Let's focus on the more important matters. Rin do you know whose is the strange aura that entered the academy" Rima's periwinkle eyes were stern and demanding. "He's Rido Kuran, Kaname's, Yuki's and I's uncle. He is after both Yuki and me for our blood" the air turned tense and a heavy silence reigned over the three of us.

"That makes Senri your cousin...right?" Is that all you got from my explanation; you only hear what you want. "I guess" my flat tone didn't seem to faze her. "I knew the moment that Rin revealed herself as a Kuran"

 "Thanks cousin" his brow twitched at my mocking words. "Don't do that" "I know. Me being a Kuran is only for now, after today I will go back to being Rin Cross" with that I jumped down from the ledge and landed gracefully on my feet. 'Get ready the night is approaching and soon a new wave will come'

I'm coming Ichiru, wait for a bit longer...please

Without her knowing so the two nodded at her words. "Rima can we really-" "We can" his blue eyes scan her face in astonishment for her quick answer. "Hmm I see"

"That is not all, I also killed Shizuka Hio" Yuki's syrup-color eyes widen and quivered as memories of that incident flashed in her mind. "S-Shizuka...K-Kaname how could you" tears spilled from her eyes at the thought of Rin's pain and suffering. "Please forgive me Yuki in trying to protect you I've hurt you the most.."

I glanced at him as he kneeled before me withhis head bowed down in shame. My hand reflectively rose and moved closer to himas if by instinct to ease his pain and inner fight. With all my will I stoppedit, it hung in the air inches away from him. "I...I" words got stuck in my throat."K-Kan-Kaname...I" "I understand" tears continued to cascade down my cheeks andmore came as I met his eyes. "I'm sorry" these words were the only ones thatslipped pastmy lips.
