"I know you saw me and penny the other day at the crypt" she spit out.I shrugged. I wasn't going to let her get on my nerves or give her the satisfaction
"Okay and"
"And I know your jealous" She said.
At that moment I had erupted into laughter. She looked at me bug eyed. I wasn't jealous in fact I was angry that I had been friends with her and dated her for so long when she was nothing but lying to me.
Hope started laughing a little too before Maya again shouted "this has nothing to with you, you filthy tribrid"
Hope's laughter came to an end before she raised an eyebrow at her.
"I wouldn't mess with her " I scoffed at Maya. She had no clue what Hope could do. Even I couldn't.
"Okay well I don't care about her just leave me alone, this is why I cheated on you your clingy going out of the way to try and kill my girlfriend because your jealous" She shouted and my chested panged with sadness.
She had been my bestfriend, my life for practically 3 years and she just threw me to the side like nothing.
"Maya just leave I don't understand what your problem is" I just sighed. I don't understand overnight she just snapped. Or maybe she hadn't maybe she had been like this felt like this the entire time.
It hurt to think about and I think Hope read not the room but the atmosphere because before I could think she had snapped
"I think it's time to go" at this point she had held her hand around my wrist and pulled it a little before I budged.
"No absolutely not" Maya snapped .
"Yes absolutely yes we don't have to sit here and listen to this nonsense" Hope snapped back.
Maya opened her mouth and shut it before me and Hope started walking again. The way she stood up for me was something Maya had never done for me.
We were holding hands at this point and my hands were all sweaty at the touch. My cheeks reddened as soon as my thoughts were turning in my head. I was definitely overthinking this. It was too soon, to even find her attractive I mean I just broke up with Maya recently and the way she was making me feel was something I had never felt with Maya or anyone before.
"Are you okay" her voice cleared my head before I stopped walking and nodded as I closed my eyes and took a big breathe.
"I'm fine I'm fine" I rubbed my temples and eyes.
"Cmon I know something that will make you feel better" she smiled and shrugged and took my hand again before pulling me towards the grill.
"I've been here before you know" I stifled a small laugh. And she kept walking towards it.
"I know that but I always come here when I miss my family and it makes me feel better" she mumbled, I couldn't see her face but another blush appeared on my face as if I couldn't help it.
As soon as we got inside we found and booth.
"Hello, My name is Alesha what can I get you guys" she smiled and turned towards Hope.
"I'll get the number 2 special" she gave a right smile and look towards me.
"Make that two" I smiled at the waitress as I noticed her smile drop to a scowl.
I could tell she liked Hope but I didn't want to push anything. I didn't even know if I liked Hope more than a friend since I had met her a few days ago.
"So what did you even see in Maya in the first place I mean no offense it's just she's a class A bitch"
I smiled but couldn't help laughing as I felt her eyes on me.
"Well I mean we were best friends for a long time and I just think we were gradually forced into it there was never any romantic feelings in their I think it was purely just because there was nothing else" She just nodded as I spoke.
"Yeah I get that" She mumbled.
