"I can't believe this." I scoffed while trudging my way through the mud covered from head to toe in blood and dirt.

"Listen I'm sorry I didn't mean-" Josie tried reasoning with me. What she did was beyond reasoning, I still couldn't believe Hope forgave her. I understood why Lizzie did they are sisters and Lizzie loves her and would do anything for her but I had only met Josie a month ago and I wasn't inclined to forgive her.

"You ruined everything don't you understand it's too late to apologize." I had turned to face Josie. Her face was streaked with dirt and tears as her lips quivered and she shivered from the nights cold air that I had just pulled my sweater closer to me.

"Stefanie I think your taking this out of hand." Hope appeared from my peripheral vision.

"Don't even- you know why I'm so upset about this." I scoffed before more tears fell from my face.

"It's okay Stef I'll get you out of here" Lizzies voice appeared as she walked to my side.

"Next time we don't need the opinion of Hope Mikaelson" she sneered at Hope and pulled me into a hug.

                   14 hours earlier

"You ready" Hope walked back into my room 15 minutes after we had just been told that there was another monster of the loose. I had simply nodded and gathered the last of my things. I didn't bring much because what do you really bring on a monster adventure.

"Yes. Also question, what do you bring on a monster hunting trip?" I asked, curling the string of my diary around the leather bound and stuffing it in my drawer.

"Not really sure how to answer that, all the monster hunting trips I've been on were I mean emergency I don't think I've ever prepared for them." She laughed, still standing next to the door.

There was still a little tension between us. We haven't talked since I basically had a breakdown over the littlest thing ever. When you think about she was leaving for a couple days and I acted like I had separation anxiety but in reality I had just been overthinking too much. I knew it was fine she was leaving but I didn't want her to leave without my feelings being clear and I didn't want to get too attached which just left me more attached. I hadn't even talked to her this past weekend I had been with Lizzie all week which was refreshing. Surprisingly.

"Well, you don't want to ask me because all the super squad missions I had been on have been kind of crazy and I all I bring is myself." she said, trying to ease the conversation.

"That was clever." I said, pointing my finger at her, and walking closer.

"Ready" she said smiling. I just nodded in confirmation and tightened my hands against the straps of my backpack.

"Sorry to interrupt but Kaleb's ready to leave." Josie jogged from the side.

"Okay, let's go." I said and we all made our way towards the van.

"Can we switch the music?" Lizzie groaned.

"Ugh it's so sweaty in here, Can you turn on the ac?" Lizzie sighed this time.

"I'm hungry did someone bring food?" Lizzie said, rubbing her stomach.

"Lizzie I'm begging you, please shut up" Hope said, smiling sweetly at Lizzie from the side.

Lizzie smiled back at her and took the pin from her hair letting it fall dramatically. Hope rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

"Stef can you hold this for me for a minute?" Lizzie asked handing me the pin she just took out from her hair. I immediately stuck my hand out. "Yeah sure"
