"Okay, so your telling me Mayas brother had a crush on you too" Hope stifled a laugh and threw her head back. I laughed along with her.

"Yeah Ethan I actually had to break it to him eventually he was actually the first person I told that I liked girls" I stirred the milkshake in front of me with the straw.

"Really, I don't even remember the first person I told. My family doesn't really have labels my aunt Freya is bisexual and it wasn't something that everyone was shocked by" she said.

I watched her as she spoke, how have I never noticed her in mystic f. The way her cheeks blushed as she laughed at almost everything and when she did it felt like the whole world disappeared besides us. She filed that void I had ever since I realized I was attracted to girls.

    Once we had finished eating I paid as a thanks for coming with me to see Maya. Hope didn't like that but she grumbled a "fine" and we left and headed off back to the school.

   "You know I've lived in mystic falls my entire life and I've never seen you Lizzie, Josie or anyone from the school or even suspected anything like this- I mean a couple time when I was younger I would get angry and like things would happen but i just shook it off I thought it was my imagination playing tricks on me" I shook my head.

   "Yeah I grew up knowing I was a witch but it was hard without my dad or most of my family for the first like seven years but then I rarely saw them"

   My heart immediately dropped. I had known what it was like to have a father and my dad was a great one, a loving one, he just wanted to protect me from something that had ruined his life for over 100 years.

   "I'm sorry" I mumbled and I took my hand and found hers. She immediately grabbed my hand back as we walked on the dirt paved path back to the school. I finally felt as if the world finally shifted into place.

I groaned as my head fell back. Lizzie was taking forever picking out a movie.

"Okay so this is my first normal night in ages and Lizzie can't pick a movie" I said out loud before groaning again and shoving another handful of popcorn into my mouth.

"Easy you don't want to run out before the movie starts" Hope snatched the bowl from my hands and popped some popcorn in her mouth and giving me a grin.

"Haha very funny" I snatched it back. This was also the most fun I had in ages. This morning had been stressful and the rest of it was pure bliss.

"Alright Lizzie if you don't pick a movie in 5 minutes I'm leaving" I finally said once more.

"Same here" Hope retorted back as she laid her head in my lap.

"Fine then you pick the movie" she tossed the remote before Hope caught it and started searching for movies to watch.

I caught a smile across my face. I was happy here with my friends I couldn't ask for anything better.

"Guys" Hope mumbled

"What did i tell you hope" Lizzie twisted her head and gave a sarcastic grin in our direction.

"It's not my fault I can't find a good movie. Here stef you pick one"

And suddenly I ended up with the tv remote.

     Dear diary,

     I have had an alright couple of days. It wasn't bad but what really made up for it was Hope, she gives me Hope which is ironic but before this I was normal and out of place living a life I dreaded waking up too but now everyday is an adventure I look forward too besides Maya but she isn't a problem anymore now that I have other things to focus on. And that's the beauty of it, a very good and beautiful life but not without heartbreak, as my mom would say.
