Chapter 16

Liam's pov:

When we were done eating we sat on the couch to watch tv. We hadn't paid much attention to what was on because she asked a lot of questions about her and mostly everything...but i couldn't give her the answers.

"I um..I wanted to ask you something." She said shyly.

"Yea sure, what's up?"

"Were we...did we...are we dating?"

What? Why would she think we are dating? "Why would you think we are dating?" I question.

"I just.. I mean... never mind." She says quietly. "I just don't know anything.. and i hate that. I feel stupid. I feel lost. I feel all of this pressure getting put on me to remember things, i can't even remember who i am, let alone anything else..." she says sobbing into her hands.

I bring my fingers to her chin to lift her head up so i can see her clearly. I wipe away her tears, but more keep spilling out "Hey shh it's alright." I bring her into my chest, wrapping my arm around her shoulder.

We stay like this for awhile until i don't hear her crying anymore. "Everything will be alright." I say reassuringly to her.

"How do you know that?" She says half heartedly.

"I just do." I lie. "And i will be there every step of the way." She lifts her head up to look at me only inches away from her face, i look at her lips and back at her eyes. Her cheeks a pink colour, and her eyes puffy and red. "Thank you" she whispers. She kisses me on the cheek, my stomach turning upside down, and my cheeks turning red. Im falling for Claire harder every day, but i know that nothing will happen because when she finds out she is in the hospital because of me she isn't going to want to have anything to do with me, and i wouldn't blame her.
