Since I Laid Eyes On You

*~*Elsa's P.O.V*~*

"This is crazy! So you guys know each other?" Jack questions.

"Not well, our parents had conflict going on so we never really saw each other."

"Aye still to this day I don't know what the fuss was about." Merida mumbles tugging at her hair, I guess trying to untangle a knot or something.

"Well it's amazing that you guys are reunited!" Jack chimes happily, I still avoid eye contact. I hate this awkward stage, we almost kissed for goodness sakes! We've known each other for what, couple weeks! I'm not saying I don't want to kiss him..... well I don't know.

I sip my cocoa making a slurping noise. I think back to when I was slipping off Angus, when he held me. Or when he broke me out of prison. Would he do any of that if he didn't love me?!

"Elsa is something wrong?" Jack asks leaning closer to me, I still don't look up.

"I'm fine." I whisper.

"Elsa, tell me the truth."

"I'm fine really!"

I can feel Jacks intense gaze, I look up. His bright blue orbs bore into mine. It leads me to think, such a perfect guy like him. Why does he care for me?! A dirty, rotten, no good thief who steals from the poor.

Out of all the women in the world, all the princesses and royals out there yet he chooses me.

Jack smiles down at me and I smile back. He leans his forehead on mine, the way we did in the dungeon.

"Ugh!" Merida scoffs and turns away from us.

I laugh, "what? You jealous?"

"No!" she hisses, "it just reminds me of the lad that left me behind."

I turn to her, "tell me about this "lad"."

"Well ye see lass, he had brown shaggy hair and the prettiest of faces. We both said we loved each other and all that mushy crud. But then one day he decided to leave without telling me. He left me." She whimpers.

I lay my hand on her shoulder and give her a warm smile. "Is that why you are afraid of being betrothed?"

Merida nods and sips her cocoa. I sip mine.

"I wouldn't blame you."

"Thanks lass."

"No problem."

"We better get going now. It's almost night fall and who knows what happens in this place at night." Jack suggests, he lends me a hand. I take it as he pulls me up.

"Ye be right. Never stay in a bar past nightfall." Merida orders glaring at all the drunk men around us.

I shuffle out the door and swing onto Angus. Jack and Merida do the same. "Where to next?" I ask.

"Me lodge on the other side of town." Merida replies.

"Ye ready Angus? Yah!" Merida squeezes Angus's sides with her boots and pulls the reigns back. Angus begins to gallop, zig zagging through the trees and into town.

I wrap my arms around Jacks waist in fear of falling off. He lays his hands on my arm as if comforting me, I smile and blush.

"AYE DUCK LADDIE!" Merida yells back at us.

"Why?!"

"OVERLAND GUARDS, I GUESS THEY ARE PART OF YE SEARH PARTY. NOW I SUGGEST YE DUCK!"

Jack and I exchange a look, I lay my hand on my sword handle and flip my hood over my head. ready to defend Jack if needed.

Jack throws his cloak hood over his head and pulls out his staff, perfect disguise.

"Halt!" A voice yells, Angus slides to a stop.

"Can I help ye guards?" Merida asks.

"We are looking for the Prince, Jack Frost of Overland. We believe he was kidnapped by this subject." The guard holds up a poster with......

My.

Face.

On.

It.

Anger boils inside me. THE QUEEN MADE UP THIS LIE! So people are after me, because I helped her son escape from that living hell.

"I haven't seen em, sorry lad." Merida says.

My face heats up, I can't bear the thought! The queen, putting a price on MY HEAD to bring me back either dead or alive.

"He wasn't kidnapped!" I hiss.

"Yes he was." The guard retorts.

"NO, he wasn't." I pull my cloak off revealing my identity.

"YOU! HEY I NEED BACKUP!" The guard yells as he swings out his sword.

"AYE GOOD JOB ELSA! Now you've brought attention to us!" Merida scoffs and pulls out her bow, she aims and shoots as the arrow pierces the guards skin.

The guard yells in agony, "BACKUP!"

"YAH!" Angus begins to gallop away.
But it's to late, the guards have mounted horses of their own.

"Elsa grab me bow! Shoot EM down."

I smirk, "don't have to ask me twice."

"Wait! Let me see one of those arrows." Jack orders.

"Why?"

"Just trust me!"

I shrug, "okay!"

I hand him one if Meridas arrows, he grabs it and turns towards the guards on our tail.

He pulls back his hood, the guards gasp. "Prince come with us! We will keep you safe."

Jack chucks the arrow at them startling the horses. One horse begins to buck, sending a guard flying onto the ground.

Jack smiles and turns to me, "you know what would give them a heart attack?"

"What?" I smile.

He turns back towards the guards then back to me, "if they saw me do this!" He grabs my face and crashes his lips into mine. I'm to afraid to kiss back.

IS HE KISSING ME?! I DONT KNOW WHETHER TO SQUEAL IN EXCITEMENT OR YELL AT HIM.

I push him away and stare at him, "what was that!?" I scream.

"Something I've wanted to do since the time I laid eyes on you." He winks at me, I blush and turn away.

Jack Frost....

Just kissed me.
