Love is in the air

"He cares for you. He visits you regularly maata. " Draupadi chirped. The love seemed to be in the air! She was so excited to meet Radheye again after her slow realization that she was his eternal love. And now she was in love with the concept of love.
"He feels guilty my child. He is Bheesm pitamah. He is known for his word which is to remain unmarried all his life. So love or care for woman is not really his thing" Amba said smiling to herself.
"Maata why do you always state the negative?! Who knows what it is like?! And I think I am in love with Radheye! I had to tell you!" Draupadi said quickly. She was not sure of the reaction she would get from Amba. She seemed to be so holy and sometimes strict.
Amba gave her a look which Draupadi was unable to decipher.
"What is it?" Draupadi asked scared.
Amba shakes her head in a negative.
"No I know there is something! That look. What is it maata? You consider me as your daughter so please be honest with me!" Drauapdi begged.
"Are you sure you cam handle the answer?" Amba asked with a straight face.
Draupadi nodded.
"Well I think this is infatuation. You font love him...not yet " Amba said and though she spoke in the sweetest manner they were like daggers in Draupadi's heart. She was mumb for a second.
"No! I love him. And we are eternal lovers!" Draupadi protested trying her best to be convincing.
"You are only six months old Draupadi.  You don't know this world. You dont know what love is. Whatever you have with that bog may be real but not yet. You both may be eternal lovers but not as of now. You just witnessed a handsome man who is in love with you and you fell for him. It is not love. Love is when you understand one another when you are compatible with one another when you love each other even after unbreakable barriers try to separate you . Love is when you both look into your souls when you both stand beside each other at difficult situations...do you even know this man? Surely he may be a wonderful man bit do you know that yet? Have you both faced any challenges in your way to love? No! Then how do you know if it is eternal love? " Amba asked sweetly.

Draupadi couldnt help but think about these things and the more she thought the more they seemed true. She was pissed off with Amba for inserting these thoughts in her pure love.
"How do you know you love mahamahim Bheesm? You noth met once when he abducted you in your swayamvar! " Meghna said almost teary eyed.
"I knew you wouldn't handle it well. And for your question I knew I loved Bheesm when I couldnt hate him despite what he did. When I saw him for the first time in the swayamvar I fell for him but it wasnt love then. I was angry with him not because he abducted me bit because he refused to marry me. When I told him I didnt want to marry his brother Vichitravirya he simply wanted me to go back to my lover. He didnt even consider asking me my thoughts. The prince I loved was a big jerk and I was aware of that. I wanted to marry Bheesm but he sent me to my former  lover and he insulted me and referred to me as a possession. Bheesm stood up for me. His views and thoughts made even fall harder for him. He never made any false promises. He never broke my heart intentionally atleast. I loved him and I realised that when I started my spiritual journey and explored myself. I realised he was a noble man. I knew who he was. I didnt hate him though he broke my heart. I fell in love with him after years of knowing him. I knew what kind of a person he was." Amba said a  glint of sadness visible in her eyes.
Draupadi was disturbed. She couldnt sleep all night. Was love really so complicated? Wasn't it supposed to be super easy like earlier? But now when Amba had introduced her with the complicacies of love she couldnt ignore them. What if Radheye was not her eternal love. The thought crushed her heart.
Next day Draupadi was busy admiring herself in the river. After the big reflection revelation she loved admiring herself. She was beautiful. She was not arrogant but she loved her reflection. The reflection was not just of a pretty girl. It was the reflection of a fiesty and beautiful woman. She was playing with the water when she felt two hands covering her eyes. She immediately knew who it was. She couldnt forget that touch.  Never! She smiled widely and her cheeks were crimson by then.
Karn was so happy to meet his queen after so many days. He had missed her.
"Well hello my love!" He whispered close to her ears . His husky voice tickled her immensely and the closeness made her body shiver . She liked him a lot but was it love yet?
Draupadi turned around and pushed him playfully. Karn smiled teasingly as he geavbed her waist and pulled her closer. She could feel his breath uniting with hers. She blushed immensely.
