Misunderstandings

"What do you mean they are dead?!" Duryodhan asked his voice cracking. He couldnt process these words. His brothers cant be dead. It's impossible.
King Dhritarashtra too was extremely shocked. He was not aware of his brother in law's devious planning. Gandhari couldnt control her tears. Kunti was like a sister to her and the pandavas were like her own sons. The kauravas were pretending to be extremely devastated. Mahamahim Bheesm broke down to tears . Mahamantri vidur and Dronacharya too were mourning at the death of the dear pandavas. Karn and Krishna stood there telling everyone about the misfortune and the event that took place in the varnavrat last night.
"How did the palace burn so violently!" Duryodhan shouted. Shakuni trembled hesitantly. Even Dhrutarashtra was confused.
"Who knows Bhrata? " Dushasham answered trying his best to sound convincing.
Duryodhan however was not ready ot accept this.
He left the sabha.
"We need to tell him" Krishna whispered.
"But if we tell him he will act extremely impulsively. He will kill Gandharraj right now. And that will be..." karn was speaking.
"But Karn he needs a reason" Krishna said.
"A reason for what ?" Karn asked confused.
"A reason to live." Kroshna said.
Then both of them looked at each other. They knew each other's thoughts. They nodded and ran towards Duryodhan's chamber. The scene inside the chamber shook them. Duryodhan was trying to kill himself. He had burnt his chamber badly and was sitting down mourning for the death of his brothers.
Krishna and Karn were shocked. The wild fire was spreading wildly now.
Karn risked his life and entered the fire trap amd rescued his friend.
Duryodhan didnt want to come out but Karn pulled him forcibly.
"What are you doing Mitr!" Karn asked.
"I don't want yo live Karn. You have saved me from death and given me a life filled with misery.  My love left me. My brothers are dead. How will I live without the Mitr!" Duryodhan exclaimed with misery.
"Your brothers are alive" krishna amd Karn spoke at the same time.

"Is there any hermitess named Yagyaseni living here?" A woman in her early twenties questioned.
"Pranipaat! I am Yagyaseni." Drauapdi introduced herself.
"The king of Anga has sent you a letter. He said he wont be able to meet you today due to unavoidable circumstances." The woman said.
"Sorry but I dont know the king of Anga. I think there is a miscommunication." Drauapdi explained sweetly.
Karn had told Draupadi that she was a charioteer . She never imagined him to be the king of Anga. She was sure it was not Karn. Moreover she didnt even know the name Karn. She always led him Radheye.
"He told me you were the future queen of Anga. I am his friend Vrushali!" Th girl cried.
"Excuse me...what kind of foolery is this! How can your king declare me as his queen before consulting me! This is preposterous!" Draupadi shouted at the top of her voice.
Vrushali was taken aback.
"What is the matter? Who is disturbing my Putri?!" King Drupad shouted angrily suddenly entering the scene.
Vrushali was too confused.
"I am sorry but Karn..." Vrushali was going to speak when Druapad interrupted her.
"That sutaputra! He has charmed the pandavas with his charm but I am not foolish. I dont consider him any king! How dare he disturbs my daughter! My daughter will never marry him!" Druapd shouted.
Drauapdi nodded firmly. She didnt know the meaning of sutaputra but the way her father uttered that word she felt it was a big curse. She didnt know that suta is a caste and people insulted humans based on their castes. For her sutaputra was a criminal. She had no idea what the word meant. Vrushali was shocked beyond wits.
"You are...you are a princess?" She asked unable to believe her eyes.
"Yes I am the princess of Panchala and I will not marry that sutaputra!" Draupadi shouted angrily.
Vrushali looked at her her eyes filled with disgust.
"Karn definitely deserves better! You dont deserve her! You arrogant princess!" Vrushali added and left immediately.
"I didnt interrupt as per your instructions Mahadev! But I feel terrible. The girl has committed a sin and poor Karn...I feel awful for not being able to stop it!" Amba muttered.

"'If only you knew the meaning of that word Nalayani! You wouldn't have uttered that in your wildest of dreams! Your father has influenced you to such extent that you without any questioning have started accepting his words. I had expected better from you Nalayani. Now Draupadi!" Mahadev said anger visible in his tone.
"Forgive the poor child Mahadev! She has no idea what she has said. She is a newborn princess and is as innocent as a child" parvati defenddd Drauapdi.
"But one should only speak when one has perfect knowledge about her preaching! Draupadi has hurt Karn in the most awful manner today. She herself doesnt know what a crime she has committed." Mahadev answered.

"She cant say that! She is not arrogant! You met the wrong girl Vrushali! My Yagyaseni can never insult someone based on their cast! I know my love!" Karn declared.
"She did ! And she is not just a hermitess! She is the princess of Panchal! Her real name is Yagyaseni Draupadi!" Vrushali added.
"What nonsense! She is a sweet girl living with her mother in the forest! You met the wrong woman!" Karn said.
"You are blind in love Karn! She was the girl! She looks exactly the girl in the portrait!" Vrushali argued.
Karn had drawn a portrait of his beautiful Yagyaseni . He was a brilliant painter.
"Karn I swear on our friendship! You can find out if you want ! Send a marriage proposal for the princess of Panchal!" Vrushali added.
"But she is not the princess of Panchal!" Karn shouted losing his temper.
"You deserve better Karn!" Vrushali shouted and left the palace.
Kafn was in a dilemma now. Vrushali was his childhood friend. She always cared about him. Why was she lying suddenly? Or was she...No it cant be!, Karn convinced himself.
"I have to visit Panchal as soon as possible!" Karn decided.
