Chapter 12 - Access denied

I was in bed, watching the talks show, just to see what people where saying, curiosity got the better of me and I really wish it didn't

"Y/n stark has 'claimed' to have been sexually assaulted at one of her parties earlier this month, details are still unclear of what actually happened. Which we hope to resolve later on. However we do know that she seemed nervous coming back into the spotlight after haven been out of it for six years. Here's a clip of she froze on stage" The news woman stated as she showed the clip of me completely freezing on the stage. How embarrassing!

"We'll I'm not sure if I believe her about the whole assault thing, I mean if we look at her track record for parting, well it certainly speaks for it's self, but she certainly did freeze that for sure, it's like she just didn't know what had hit her." the man laughs before the camera going back to the woman.

"But six years out of the spotlight and now all of a sudden she's back and has certainly managed to draw a lot of attention to herself. Maybe she'll disappear for another six years and come back 'claiming' to have been kidnapped." The woman said in a snarky tone

We hope to get more details soon about y/n stark. After the break we have-" the tv was shut off before I could even hear what they where going to talk of next.

"You shouldn't be watching that" a voice exclaimed from the doorframe of your room. It was Steve. Checking in on you. It seemed that's all he did now.

"I didn't even say yes or no, they just assume it now and I haven't even got to tell me side of the story. I froze up there and now, now I have put my brothers company at risk, I've lost my best friend and I have a psychopath that keeps reminding me of how awful I actually am. Everyone seemed happier when I wasn't here. Maybe I should just vanish again." I rant as my voice cracks, and the tears never seem to stop.

"Hey what happened isn't your fault. Okay? Now how about you come down and get some food with everyone?" He asks in a sympathetic tone.

When I think about it, I'm not sure when the last time I actually ate was. Maybe this morning? Who knows.

"Sure" I reply as I make my way down to the kitchen.

As I walk in to the kitchen everyone seemed to stop what they where doing and stare at me.

"I um, I made your favourite dinner" Wanda says as she breaks the silence.

"Thanks" I quietly reply. "So, questions, I know you all have them, so let's get it over with so that we can move on and get back to normal, yeah?"

"Y/n, you don't have to-" Nat tries to say but is cut off by Bucky.

"What's the secret?" Bucky enquires. Everyone looks at him to say why, you couldn't just leave her alone could you?

"I have many secrets Bucky, but I think you're talking about the one with Alex?"

Bucky nods in agreement.

"Okay, right" you clap your hands together as everyone stares, all secretly dying to know the answer. "Me and Josh where only going out a year, we got in a fight, it was over some stupid mission. He-we both said some things, we decided to break up that night, and then I turned to my favourite hobby, anyone guess what it is?" You laugh but no one laughs with you. "Okay, maybe not then. I went out drinking with a friend and we slept together that night, the next morning Alex came in and caught us, that was fine but then a week later Josh came back and I picked Josh over the other guy. I wanted to tell Josh but I never got round to it. I didn't want to loose him again. Alex has always hated me for it. So can we have dinner now or?" You laugh as everyone stands there, taking in all the information.
