Grian's POV
Grian woke up, confused on where he was for a moment. He wasn't chained up, he wasn't in the comfort of False's home, and he wasn't in that strange room.

Yesterday came rushing back to him like a flight of hawks.

He jumped to his feet, grabbing his stolen pickaxe and glancing out at the path of the shopping district. The sun was setting, casting golden rays across the landscape. He would've admired the scenery if he wasn't running from an entire server right now.

Sam said she was at his base, Grian noted in his head. Horror coursed through his veins as a realization struck him. HIS BASE! I GOTTA FIND HER. NOW.

Grian took off running in the direction he was pretty sure Sam's base was in. His memory was all scrambled from the chaos of the past few days.

He made it into the store-free area of the island. If he remembered right Sam's base was somewhere around her-

Aha! Grian broke away the two blocks and pushed open the door. He ran inside, hearing shouting behind him.

Wait a second-

Grian stopped, peaking out of the door again. Seeing an alarming amount of hermits (three), and Sam, he ran back inside, running down to the basement.

And there False was, chained up against the wall in a much more comfortable position then he had been. She perked up when she saw Grian and her eyes lit up with relief.

"Grian!" She cried happily, struggling against the chains that bound her against the wall.

Grian rushed over, pulling out his diamond pickaxe, and freeing False from the restraints the same way she had saved him. She wasn't injured, thankfully.

"Come on, let's get out of here," False said as she hurried over to a chest, seeming to grab all of her belongings.

"Alright," Grian agreed with a nod. However thundering footsteps caught his attention and he jumped as an arrow shot by his arm.

False whipped around in alarm as Iskall let out a shout of anger, rushing toward her. Grian threw the pickaxe at Iskall and ran over to protect False, raising his arms.

"Back off!" False shouted at the four hermits from behind him. Grian stared at each one of them.

Iskall, Mumbo, Impulse, and Sam were glaring at them. Well, the real hermits looked desperate, a bit alarmed, as well as confused. Sam was the one with fury glimmering in his eyes.

"Grian, she's only manipulated you into saving her," Sam said carefully, walking forward.

"You're a psychopath!" False snapped angrily at Sam. "Last I saw, you were the one holding Grian captive!"

Thanks False, Grian thought. She was keeping his wings a secret.

"Why would I kidnap my best friend?" Sam asked, tilting his head with narrowed eyes. Grian shivered, taking a step back.

"I'm so confused," Mumbo spoke up, looking between the rabbit hybrid and False. "False kidnapped Grian, didn't she?"

"She's trying to pin the blame onto me," Sam snarled.

"Why don't we just ask Grian?" Impulse asked. Grian panicked as Sam gave him a sly look.

He glanced back at False, and then back at Sam. If he told everybody that it was Sam, he might have to reveal his secret. If he told them it was False...

Don't say a word! his mind shouted at him.

Sam suddenly rose his hands. "Alright. I'll admit. I did it."

"SEE?!" False yelled, pointing an accusing finger at Sam. "HE ADMITTED."

The other three hermits looked horrified. Sam scoffed at their expressions.

"Oh please, if you knew what Grian really was you'd want to lock him up too," Sam said breezily. He gave Grian that all too familiar sweet and triumphant smile. Grian suddenly realized where this was going.

False seemed to catch on as well. She pulled out her sword, shielding it from the other hermits.

"As much as I'm upset, I wanna know what Grian's hiding from us," Iskall looked at Grian, his eyes practically pinning him down.

Grian shook his head frantically, and Sam advanced toward him. Grian unconsciously took a step back, terrified.

"Why don't you show them, Gree-on?" Sam asked. When Grian shook his head again, the hybrid added, "then why don't I just make you?"

Grian knew where this was going. He had to act fast. A plan formed in his mind instantly, however if he didn't act on it right now, and plus he didn't know what Sam was gonna d-

He was suddenly slammed up against the wall at lightning speed. Sam held him there, no matter how much he struggled.

Sam pulled out a dagger, spinning it in his hand, before stabbing Grian in the shoulder.

As if it were instinct, Grian unleashed his wings, whipping around and throwing Sam to the floor. He scrambled away, his purple wings fluttering rapidly.

"Oh no," False breathed. The other three hermits looked absolutely terrified.

Iskall started screaming; Mumbo looked scared, confused, upset, perhaps even.. sympathetic?; Impulse was back against the wall, staring at him in horror.

"See!" Sam laughed, pointing at him. "He IS a monster!"

Monster, monster, monster, his mind sung non-stop. He saw Mumbo pull out a sword and he backed against the wall, trembling.

"WAIT!" False yelled, running in front of him and putting her hands out protectively.

"You're PROTECTING it?!" Iskall cried in astonishment. Grian winced. It.

"He never ASKED to be a Watcher!" False snapped. She glanced back at him, her eyes flashing with sympathy. "If you knew his story-"

"Monsters don't deserve to be listened to," Sam growled.

False gave him a cold look. "I know all about you," she said in a dark voice that made Grian shiver. "He was forced into Watcher training. He never had a choice. He hates his Watcher side, probably even more now that you idiots aren't being accepting!"

The three gave each other guilty glances. Grian stared at them, wishing desperately he could sink into the floor and disappear.

Sam looked absolutely furious.

"Aren't you forgetting what she did?!" Sam demanded at the others. Mumbo gave him a hard look.

"Didn't you admit to it?" Impulse pointed out. Sam sputtered, seeming to be at a lost for words. They had him stumped.

"Sorry Sam, wait until Xisuma hears about this," Mumbo said, taking a step toward him.

Sam laughed, pulling out a lever and slamming it on the ground. "Lucky for you, I prepared for this," he said, kicking the lever and moving the handle.

Grian was confused on what was happening.

But all the sudden False was unconscious against the wall, Impulse was screaming, and Grian had a knife to his neck.
