Chapter Eleven

"Margo." Tawag ni Nix saken. I smiled at him and took the carbonara in his hands. 

May Fiesta pala dito sa Oradour. The scene at Santa Clara? We'll just have to tell them what we found and we're good to go. So for the time being, we'll have fun here at Oradour.

Nasa labas kami sa may benches at pinapanood ang nagsasayawan na townspeople. lively talaga. 

"Margo! Halika tara!" Hila sakin ni Pierre na sumasayaw kasama ang townspeople kanina pa. Hindi ba to nawawalan ng energy? Hindi pa nga to kumakain eh jusq.

Hindi ako nakatanggi dahil magsasalita palang ako ay nasa loob na ako ng circle. Madali lang naman ang steps. pa ikot ikot lang at pachange ng partner in a circle manner. 

Nahirapan ako nung una but I soon got the hang of it. It feels pretty great actually. Im enjoying the fun and the smiles of the townspeople.

We danced in circles and changing partners nung parang may kakaibang lalake na naging ka partner ko. Nang nagka hawak kami ng kamay bigla akong nakuryente. Tinignan ko ito pero agad namang nag change ng partner. Ano kaya yon?

I shrugged the thought and continued dancing when another person with that aura soon became my partner. I couldn't see his face since he was wearing a festive mask. Soon enough, this man took my hands and he held my hips and pulled me close to his. As if on cue, the music changed, and all the couples started to go into the town square. They swayed with the rhythm of the song and so did I with this mysterious partner in front of me. 

He danced and swayed with gentleness and held my hands with care guiding my every step with his. Nang ma realize ko kung sino ito, I rested my head to his chest as we swayed side to side. 

"You're quite confident to approach me directly, Mr. Stalker," I said. I pulled away from him and removed his mask revealing blue and grey colored eyes. Nginitian ko lang ito.

"Seriously, darling? You'll regret removing my mask you know." He said and etched a smile. I looked quite confused by come on, it's nothing serious. 

"Ahh! Leo is here!" A lady shouted from the right side both looking at us with sparkles in his eyes.

"Asan?"

"Where?" 

"Si Leo nandito?" 

Bulong ng mga babae sa paligid. Leo? Who? Tumingin ako sa gilid gilid kaso sa akin nakatingin ang mga babaeng nagtitilian. Wait, my bad, hindi sila nakatingin sakin, they were looking at my partner. Oh right, Nicholas Leo. That's the name he told me last night.

"I told you you'd regret it. Ayaw ko pa namang nagseselos ka." He said and gave me a playful smile. I scoffed. Me? Jealous? Asa ka.

"Sorry girls, I've got company." He said. Bigla niyang hinawakan ang kamay ko at naglakad ng mabilis papunta sa pwesto kung nasaan nakaupo ang gang. Tumingin sila sa amin at pababa sa kamay naming magkahawak kaya agad ko inalis ito.

"Ahh, Hahah, ano bigla kong naging partner." Sabi ko lang. Tumingin sila sa akin, at pabalik sa lalakeng katabi ko.

"Leo, andito ka na pala?" Sabi ni Chase na kumakain ng Spaghetti.

"Dito ka lang pala namin mahahanap eh." Sabi ni Pierre na nag cross arms.

"Just go back to Blaine Academy, marami ang naghahanap sayo, you've been away for five months, that's the longest you've been away." Athena said with a commanding tone. Woah, eto na ba ang sinasabi nilang head ng school committee? Seryoso pala talaga siya kapag tungkol sa Academy.

"I will, just a little longer, I still got business with Cross." He explained. Napabuntong hininga lamang si Athena sa sagot niya.

"Teka, you guys know each other?" I asked as they all nodded. Binatukan ko si Nix dahil pati pala siya ay kilala ito.

"Aray! School mates, jeez Margo." Sabi nito sabay himas sa binatukan kong parte ng kanyang katawan.

Tinignan ko yung kakakilala ko lang at hinila siya sa lugar na medyo malayo sa grupo.

"What the hell is this? Are you fucking playing pranks on me?" I said. 

"Margo, calm down. I'm not the type of person who would do that."

"Why did you come and save me when I was in Penshaw then? Mind you sir, ang pinaka ayoko sa lahat, yung pinag mumukha akong tanga." I said and cross my arms in front of him. At may gana pa itong tumawa sa harap ko. I threw daggers at him.

"Margo, I said calm down. I wanted to see you beforehand nang hindi mo pa alam kung sino ba talaga ako. I wanted you to know my identity yourself, not from Blaine Academy." He explained pero hindi ko parin ito pinakinggan. Instead, I turned away from him and walked away when he hugged me from behind. I froze.

"Darling, stop being stubborn. I told you the truth." He said. Hindi ako nakagalaw sa kinatatayuan ko at dahil nakayakap siya sakin. Moreover, I felt his breath down on my neck. Somehow, my feet started to feel weak. Is it because of his gentle actions and words full of sincerity?

I got back to my senses and turned my body to him. Tinignan ko siya.

"Get me some milkshake, you owe me one," I said looking at him with an attitude. Ngumiti ito at tumawa ng bahagya.

"Right away, darling." He said and walked towards the milkshake store. Naglakad naman ako papunta sa ganga at nakiupo sakanila.

"Kelan mo siya nakilala?" Tanong ni River pagka upo ko sa tabi niya.

"Recently," I replied.

"Woah, recently lang pala tapos ang landi niyo na tignan. Margo, teach Athena how to flirt please, she keeps turning people down." Said Pierre and rested her hands and the table. Hinampas ni Athena si Pierre ng mahina sa balikat dahil sa kanyang pang aasar.

"I got you your favorite, darling?" Loke said walking towards me with a white-colored milkshake in his right hand.

"Thanks," I said and moved to give space for Loke to sit down. Suddenly, all eyes were on us looking surprised at how Loke and I acted. With my peripheral vision, I saw Pierre smile and spoke words that furrowed my face.

"Margo you son of a bitch."
