I'm shaken out of my thoughts as I feel the chopper touch down I grab my gear and make my way to our barracks to drop off my gear and head to the infirmary. When I reach my destination I enter and see a bed with a white sheet over a body, cautiously I lift the sheet revealing one of my squad members.
I let go of the sheet and go to find Eric and Daniel. After walking across the building I find them behind a closed curtain being worked on by the medics. They're unconscious and it seems eric is more injured than daniel, eric is missing his right leg and half of his left leg and has severe burns to his face daniel has his legs still but it's just chunks only being held together by skin and uniform.
Sighing I make my way to my bed and sit with my head in my hands thinking about what I could've done to prevent this.
I look up upon hearing someone clear their throat and I see ash and thermite standing in the doorway.
Ash: "sorry if this is a bad time but we need you to come with us"
Y/n: "alright" I say in a dead tone as I stand up and begin following them to the heli pad where I see my commanding officer shaking hands with some man I haven't seen before.
?: "Hello Y/n it's nice to meet you" he says with a smiles while shaking my hand, "I'm the director of Rainbow please call me harry."
Y/n: "nice to meet you harry but may I ask what you want with me?" I ask in a curious tone.
Harry: "I've reviewed some of the helmet cams your squad members had and I think rainbow could use someone with your skills."
Dixon: "if you decide to go all of the paperwork has already been handled but it's up to you."
I take a moment to think before asking "when do I leave?" "When you get back with all of your things." Harry replies.
I nod my head and jog back to my bed and begin gathering all of my clothes belongings and my weapons. I get up to leave before turning back and grabbing a picture of my whole squad we took after my first missing with them. I smile slightly as I put it in my bag and kneel down pulling out a gun case, I set it on the bed and open it admiring my old rifle.

I close the gun case and sling my pack over my shoulders and grab the case as I quickly walk back to the heli pad.
Y/n: "I'm ready to go sir." "There's no need for that sir crap just call me harry." He says as he climbs into a blackhawk.
I climb on and secure my things and I look to see thermite talking to our pilot who speaks with a german accent, weird I think to myself then again rainbow does recruit people from all over the world so I guess it makes sense.
The rotors spin up as everyone takes their seat. "Welcome to rainbow I'm glad you joined!" Jordan shouts over the deafening sound of the helicopter. Not wanting to shout I simply nod my head and look out the door at the infirmary wondering if my friends are okay, I keep staring until I can't see the base anymore and I slide the door closed and decide to sleep since it's going to be a long flight.
