Chapter 2: Unexpected Orochimaru

The rest of the week at school

Today was Wednesday, Orochimaru was about to tell them their final grades. However, they had Kakashi for the first hour.

"All right, class. Your grades are already closed, but I would like to hear your dream again…"

"Don't change the theme, you just want to excuse yourself for being late again!! Right, Sasuke-kun?" Sakura looked at him.

"Why me? What is she thinking?" thought Sasuke.

"Hmm, I guess," Sasuke said. She was annoyed. Did I do something wrong? Why is she acting like this last time? Sasuke had these thoughts.

"I didn’t give up on my dream! I’ll surely become the head of the FBI! I'm already working on it!" Hinata blushed. She supports Naruto in his dream and wants to help him in the future. That’s her dream.

"My dream didn’t change either! I still want to be a secret agent… But the best one…!" Hinata said confidently. Kakashi was surprised. Hinata was pretty determined.

"All right. I guess everyone has the same dream, so we’ll continue-!"

"No, Kakashi-sensei! My dream has changed!" said seriously Sakura.

"Huh? Then tell us."

"I want to be one of the most experienced surgeons and save lives!" Sasuke smirked. He liked this side of her.

"T-that’s really nice dream. Do your best!" Kakashi smiled.

"Thank you, Sensei!"

"Me too!" yelled Ino.

"Hmm?"

"My dream has changed too. I want to become a great lawyer and defend the innocent…!"

"Lawyer?? But it’s really a hard job. Are you sure about it?"

"I am. I know my grades aren’t as great as Sakura’s, but I… I want to be useful for this world!" said determinedly Ino. Kakashi smiled.

"You are useful no matter what job you choose, but I like your determination and your stubbornness about justice. Go for it, Ino!" Kakashi was glad about how his students grown up. It was a really nice sight. Next class was… well, weird as usually.

"Hello my dear students, I’d like to tell you your grades, but…"

"But what?!" asked Naruto.

"But yesterday I put them away in my lab, where I failed one attempt and your written work burned to dust." Orochimaru smirked.

"WHAT??!!!" everyone yelled.

"So we will write it again today." Everyone was depressed.

"It’s your fault!! Not ours!!" yelled Naruto.

"But I really need that grade. And it’s your fault for distracting me, Naruto-kun!" Naruto had no words.

"Kabuto, give them the tests."

"Of course, Orochimaru-sama!" Kabuto smirked and touched his glasses.

"Here!" Naruto looked at the test. But… the test was completed. It was the test he wrote yesterday… And he got a B! Again! Everyone was confused. Just how?

"Kabuto!" Kabuto nodded. Kabuto played the trumpet.

"I hereby inform you that you all have been pranked by me! Congratulations!" Orochimaru laugh. Everyone was annoyed.

"What an annoying teacher…" said Sasuke.

"What a drag…"

"If I could do that, he would fly out of this school, Shannaro!!"

"Is he really a teacher?" thought Ino. Naruto didn’t care. He was happy he got a B as his grade. Hinata giggled. Orochimaru really scared her. Sai smiled and Ino was looking at him.

"Don't you mind, Sai?"

"No at all. I read about this jokes. It should amuse everyone. I would also like to try it."

"Don’t you dare!" said seriously Ino.

"Oh, is that bad? I thought it was funny…"

"It is funny only for him... I was really scared when he said that we’ll write it again! I’m not so good in Chemistry!"

"I think you are great, Beautiful." Ino blushed.

"T-thank you, Sai."

"No need to thank me." Sai smiled and Ino turned around. She was embarrassed.

"Ho, you are blushing," teased Sakura.

"Stop it, Sakura!"

"All right, all right…" said Sakura. She was a little jelous of Ino. Sasuke would never tell her this. At least that’s what she thinks.

"TenTen-chan, will you go to the party?"

"Of course! I have to protect you, Hinata!" Hinata smirked.

"You know, Neji-nii-san thinks the same way," mentioned Hinata.

"Don’t tell me that there will be Neji!"

"Hah, of course he will. Is that a problem, TenTen-chan?" teased Hinata.

"N-no." TenTen was a little happy about it. In fact, she wanted to meet him again.

"Naruto, why is Sakura grinning at me?" asked Sasuke.

"I have a B, yes!" But Naruto was thinking of something else...

"Naruto!"

"Oh, right. That’s because you don’t pay her enough attention. She’s impatient. She wants you to make the first move." said Naruto.

"Since when have you been so smart?"

"Since forever!" Naruto said proudly.

"Yeah, so never."

"You-!"

"Calm down everyone! It was just a prank. A really great prank, right Kabuto?"

"Of course, Orochimaru-sama!" His glasses shined.

"Now I’ll tell you the grades…
A! Sasuke-kun, Sai, Shikamaru, Mieko, Shibo, Hinata, Sakura and some TenTen.
B! Ino, Kiba, Choji.
C! Naruto-kun. I know, it was unexpected like me," said proudly Orochimaru.

"I have to say that you disappointed me and surprised me at the same time, Naruto-kun. You didn’t cheat, did you?"

"No way I would do that!" Naruto said seriously.

"All right, I like you so I believe you." He licked. Naruto shivered.

"Now let’s go back to the lesson." Mieko was still angry at Naruto for that broken nose.

Unfortunately, no one in the police considered it a bodily injury or even an attempted murder, and Mieko was left empty-handed. He was upset even more about it.

But now there’s nothing he can do. Even Mizuki gave up on him when police was involved. He doesn't want to go back there anymore, like when he bullied Naruto. Thanks to Jiraiya he was arrested for it.

But Naruto knew nothing about it. Jiraiya never told him. Naruto finally knew his marks. He was happy because he had successfully reached the next grade and is closer to achieving his goal.
