Chapter 7: Waiting

Neji's POV

"I'm glad you have friends like that, Neji-nii-san," Hinata-sama said with a smile on her face.

"Lee is really good friend." Suddenly I heard a bell. I opened the door.

"I'm so sorry I'm 55 seconds late!!" He bowed his head.

"That's perfectly fine. Just… take care of her…"

"Of course!!" Hinata-sama came to see us.

"Are you Neji-nii-san’s friend?" she asked innocently.

"Oh, you must be Neji’s beautiful cousin Hinata-san!! It’s nice to meet you!!" He shook her hand. I wanted to-!

"It’s nice to meet you too, Lee-san. I'm glad Neji-nii-san has such friends."

"Friends? He said we are friends? I’m so moved!!" He cried on her shoulder.

"I-it’s all right." She wanted to comfort him.

"H-he never called me his friend…" She grinned at me.

"It doesn't have to be said out loud," I said.

"Sometimes it should. Lee-san considers you as his friend."

"Yeah, yeah, we are going, Lee. Get along with Hanabi!"

"I will!!" I dragged Hinata-sama out.

"Wait, why?"

"We would be late if we stayed."

"You are right." She smiled. She was also wearing purple sneakers. She looks like a normal teenager. What did Naruto do to her? Well, I didn't go in formal either. I was wearing a long-sleeved grey T-shirt and black jeans. We came to Sasuke first, which makes me quite nervous. There are no other people to entertain Naruto.

"Oh, Hinata, you are here soon!" said Naruto. She was blushing.

"You are really beautiful in that outfi-!"

"Naruto!!" I grinned at him.

"Hahah, Neji, you are here too! I’m so glad…" He was annoyed.

"I’m here to protect Hinata-sama. Don’t try anything."

"I won’t if you won’t too…" He teased me.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, Hinata told me about you and TenTen…" She wrote it to him!

"Hinata-sama, why?"

"I wanted him to know you’ll be here and he was curious why would you be here? So I told him." But I’m here because of you…

"Don’t worry, Neji. He won’t try anything," said Sasuke.

"Why are you so sure?"

"Because I’m his best friend. He’s not so bad… Actually he’s really nice and knows how he should treat girls, right you love expert?"

"That’s right, thanks Sasuke!" I don’t know what they are talking about… This will be a long night…

Naruto’s POV

I was so happy that Hinata came, but... with Neji. Well, I hope TenTen and Kurama entertain him, heheh. Other guests arrived shortly. TenTen, Sakura-chan, Ino, Sai and now we've been waiting for the last couple.

"Moo, where are they?!" complained TenTen.

"It’s been an hour, but it’s Shikamaru we are talking about," said Sasuke.

"And Temari is from another city, so yeah," I said.

"It’s boring…" yawned Ino.

"Well, we can start without them," said Sasuke.

"That wouldn’t be fun, Sasuke! Shikamaru is our friend-ttebayo!" I yelled.

"He’s right!" said Choji. But he was eating chips Sasuke had prepared. So he didn’t care that much.

"I think we should wait for Shikamaru-kun and Temari-san," said Hinata and smiled. Yeah, she’s always right.

"Exactly!" I said.

"Uhh, okay," said Sasuke.

"Well, Ino, if you are bored, I can draw you. I took a sketchbook and a pencil with me," said Sai. He really thinks of everything.

"Isn't that just fun for you? But since it's you, Sai, you can draw me…" Ino blushed. Sasuke left to the kitchen. Sakura-chan followed him.
