I looked up in confusion as I watched Kai leave the car, slamming the door behind him. I just sat and watched him stride away, hands in his pocket, not giving a care in the world. Huffing, I turn my head before catching Kai stop abruptly in the distance. I slowly turn my head again to give him a confused look. His shoulders rise and then drop again before he turns around, back to the car. Although he's still a distance away, I definitely didn't miss his eye roll.

As he approached the car, he opened up the drivers seat door and sat back down. We sat in silence for a while as he stared out into the distance in front of him. I did nothing but look at him. Kai slowly turned his head and pointed his gaze back at my own.

"I thought you might want to sleep in an actual bed tonight" Kai said, barely moving.

Honestly, I was shocked that he thought of anyone but himself. Maybe he meant to say 'I want some sleep and I can't sleep in this stupid car'. That would probably make more sense.

"I haven't slept in a while either so I'd like some sleep myself." He then added.

Bingo, there it is! Who could have guessed he would have said that... oh wait. Me.

"and you're going to trust me to not run away while you're sleeping?" I asked with a smirk

Kai seemed to tense a little at my statement. I wasn't actually thinking of running away but the thought seemed to click with him. He must have forgotten that I never actually asked to be here.

Kai's eyes drifted down to the floor as he spoke. "Well...I hadn't really thought about that. I guess I trust you enough to make your own decisions...I guess."

His uncertainty definitely shocked me. But it wouldn't surprise me if he's only saying this because of how tired he is - he looks like he could pass out any minute.

"I- Uh yeah no this is great. I'd love to sleep anywhere other than this car seat." I smiled back at him.

He looked up, slightly smiled at me then left the car once again. I helped him grab some of our stuff that we might need and then made our way over to the lobby.

It was dark outside due to how late it was. I remember reading '10:00pm' on the car's clock some time ago. The only light visible was the lights from the motel rooms. It looked kind of scary I won't lie but I was too tired to really care.

A young, brown haired girl sat at the desk playing on her phone. As she looked up at Kai, her eyes widened. She shot up and leant over her desk, trying to push up her cleavage. Kai clearly couldn't have cared less as he rolled his eyes at the other woman.

"And what can I do for you, Cutie" She asked seductively, still not even noticing my existence.

"Room for two." Kai stated, pulling out some money.

The girl at the desk leant back to look at me. Her eyes drifted from the top of my head to the bottom of my shoes and back up to my own eyes. I could see the insults in her mind whilst she glared at me.

She was glaring at me for about two minutes before I hissed at her,"You wanna take a picture or are you gunna give us the room key"

She scoffed and then handed Kai the key. I was amused once I saw the slight smirk on his face. As we walked towards the room, I turned back to the girl - who was still staring at me - and blew her a sarcastic kiss.

Once we reached the room and opened the door, I felt the blood rushing to my face. I looked at Kai and then looked back at the room. There was only one bed. Kai walked over to the bed and laid out his stuff before sitting down and looking at me. I slowly closed the door behind me and stood there in silence.

Kai's small laugh killed the silence surrounding us.

"I'll sleep on the couch, don't get yourself too excited" He said, still chuckling away to himself.

"Wha- excited?! Why would I be-"

"please. You are so clearly thinking about sleeping with me."

"uhhh, no. I mean yes, but not like that. I-I don't like sharing. Y'know." I started rambling on. Not making any sense.

"I get it, I get it. You girls are always chasing me"

"wow. Okay. Well I am going to take a shower. If you would be so kind as to take your head out of your own ass by the time I get back, it would be deeply appreciated."

"Hey, I was just jok-" I slammed the bathroom door before he could finish.

I stood and stared at my reflexion whilst I let the water warm up. I needed to calm down. This guy really knows how to push my buttons.

I immediately relaxed once I felt the warm water fall against my skin. Letting my mind go completely blank. I was in the shower for around 30 minutes, washing my hair and my body. Once I got out, I looked to see what clothes I had. Chris packed some clothes for both me and Kai so I dont even know what I could be wearing for the next few days.

Folded in front of me, I saw a pair of gym shorts and a mens large shirt. Nothing bad for me to sleep in.

As I walked out of the bathroom, Kai sat up and stared at me. You could barely see my shorts due to the massive shirt. It looked so much bigger because my body is so small. Wet hair hung down from either side of my face.

I blushed a little when I noticed Kai staring a little longer than I thought he would.

"Can..I help you" I asked awkwardly.

Kai's head snapped up to my eyes and blushed, realising he was staring at me the whole time. "Oh. You umm. Nothing, just... my shirt looks good on you"

My eyes widened. "Oh uh... I didn't know this was your shirt. You can have it back if you would like?" My fingers fumbled as I started lifting the shirt.

Kai jumped towards me and pulled down my hand, slightly laughing. I was confused until I realised what I was about to do. I had started taking off my shirt in front of Kai. I am such an idiot! Who does that? I offered if he wanted his shirt back and then I proceeded to take it off, leaving me shirtless. I am such an idiot.

After my major face palm, I noticed Kai still holding onto my wrists. He was standing so close to my body, I could feel his calming breath against my head. Kai pretty much towered over me. I looked up to see him staring directly at me. Our eyes locked and our bodies didn't move a muscle.

After standing like that for a while, we both took a step back and averted our eyes to the floor. Kai scratched the back of his head and left the room without saying another word.

What just happened? We were so close. Too close. But it wasn't awkward or weird, at the time. My mind started spinning with multiple different questions before I decided to slide into the bed and rest my eyes.

I need to start getting some answers. This is not what I need right now.
