The moment I got up to go over by Roxy, Katie slumped over as she was out like a light. I smiled and kissed her forehead before going. Walking towards her, I yelled to get her attention. "Roxy! Hey Roxy!" I had a big smile trying to be happy about seeing her, but I still had an uneasy feeling. She turned her head around seeing me and as soon as she did, she was walking away from me and into a crowd of people.

Pushing past the ocean of people, it seemed for a moment I was starting to catch up to her. As soon as I thought I was, a person pushed against me, making me stumble backwards and losing what track I had on Roxy. After a few moments, the crowd started to disburse, making it clear for me to move. Hoping there would be Roxy standing in front of me, I was mistaken.

How could she of just disappeared like that? "Ok, Yumi..." I said aloud to myself. "Use your tracking skills that dad taught you." I took a moment and looked at the possible areas Roxy could of hid. I started to search for her everywhere. No luck, until I saw a shadow by an abandoned part of the boardwalk.

Quickly, I went back over and picked up Katie. Carrying her with me, I went back over to the abandoned part. No sooner, I heard an announcement that the boardwalk was closing in an hour. I had an hour to find Roxy and try to convince her to join Katie and I. Seeing the same shadow again, I decided to follow it.

With following the shadow, I was lucky enough that it was Roxy. "Hey, wait, Roxy!" I yelled out to her. As soon as I did she whipped her head around. "Augh!!!" She grunted at the sight of me. "Didn't I already tell you not to look for me?!" She started to growl.

"W-wait! I followed you for a reason! A very important reason and please hear me out!" I laid down Katie someplace safe and went up to Roxy. "And what's soooo important that you need to keep putting yourself in danger?" She questioned me.

"Well... it's for Katie, more or less. She and I have both lost our families to fires; it seems you are one whose lost her family too. In my offer, would you join Katie and I to be a part of our family." She looked disgusted at first, then actually calm for once.

"I won't guarantee that I will, but I'll think about it. I do have my own mission here on the surface." She then ran off and disappeared once more. "Well at least it's a start..." I sighed with some relief and grabbed up Katie, walking back to our base camp.

I now had a start on rebuilding a family for us. I just hoped enough she'd make the right choice.
