We settled down for the night and I waited till Katie was asleep. She was comfy and happy, which made me happy as well. I had a sisterly bond with a human in less than a week. But something kept running through my mind. " I never thought of food or anything into this plan, but then again I never thought in my life I'd be a mother figure to a youngster, specially a human." I thought to myself.
I got up and grabbed my violin. I know I shouldn't leave a child alone but I had to work twice as hard and get more money. We needed food, clothes, a home, beds to sleep on. But what other choice did I have? I needed to keep this kid safe and happy. I left her alone to sleep and went back to the boardwalk. It was still crowded but a little died down. I set up where I was going to play. All of a sudden I hear a loud sound, which made me cover up my ears.
There was a huge crowd starting to form around someone. I didn't know who but I went over, out of curiosity of course. I squeezed my way through to the front lines. I looked up to see this pale white girl, with jet black hair going down to the bottom of her back. She had these shinny crimson red eyes, that made me a little nervous. I couldn't place it, but I had a bad feeling about this girl.
She had this red axe electric guitar. She strummed it and I covered my ears, considering she had amps to make it louder. By everyone's mouth movement, I could tell this girl was pretty popular by the cheering fans. I scrambled back to my little set up where there was barely anyone passing by me.
"Are you ready to rock!?" I heard the girl yell from the distance as everyone cheered. I packed up my things, figuring I wouldn't get any money tonight. I walked back to base camp with thoughts of this girl in my head; nothing love related, but there was something that made me nervous and on edge in a bad way. I settled down by Katie who was still asleep as I came back and I drifted off to sleep.
