Sugawara's POV

As soon as we walk into the house, Mason runs up the stairs, having Mabel chase after him. I sigh tiredly as I take off my shoes and walk towards the dining room table, "welcome home." Daichi says, taking his eyes off of his papers for a second, giving me a small kiss, "mhm..how was work?" I ask, sitting down next to him, taking out my own papers, "tiring. You?"

"Same old kids."

"Any troubles?" He places his pen down and stops to look at me, "how'd you know?"

"I've known you for a very long time, Sugar."

"And you still call me that dumb nickname." We both laugh lightly, "I didn't call you Sugar because of your last name, Kōushi." I raise an eyebrow, "then why'd you call me Sugar?" He leans in closer and smirks, "because you're as sweet as Sugar, love." I could feel myself blush but it didn't stop me. I laugh lightly, "Dad! Help!" Mabel shouts as she runs down the stairs, laughing as Mason was now chasing her.

This gets Daichi and I to get out of the flirtatious state we were in, "Ah!"

"Mabel!" Mason catching her as she almost falls, "you have to be careful. You're such a klutz sometimes." Mason hits her in the back of the head, "ow...meanie, mase..." Daichi and I laugh lightly as we focus back onto the paperwork, "hey, dads?" We both look up again, "yes?" Daichi asks, "when's dinner?" Daichi looks at me, like he's asking the same question.

Two children I deal with every day, I tell you.

"Munnsun's bringing supper from her family." They all nod, "Is Mason staying over for supper tonight?" Daichi asks as I signed off this paper, "are you?"

He hits her in the back of the head again, "you're the one who asked me."

"Ow-"

"You act like it hurt!"

"You don't know that it didn't!" Daichi and I look at each other and try to hold in a laugh, "sorry, yeah..I'm staying for supper if you don't mind."

"Of course not. You're allowed here whenever." I smile and the door opens, "guess who's here! Woohoo! Me!" Munnsun rushes in, holding a couple bags, "I ended up eating a lot of my family's food, so I just brought takeout."

"You ate all of it?" She walks over to me and gives me a small hug, "yeah."

"I'm happy I don't live with you anymore." I whisper and she acts offends, "rude, Kouchi, rude."

"Don't call me that."

"You know you love me." She gasps suddenly and places down the food, "is that really you, Mabe-babe!"

"Yes, Mun. It is me." Mabel smiles as she gives Sakura a tight hug, "hey kid." Mun says as she ruffles Mason's hair, "hey, Sakura."

"So, how has my favorite family been doing?" I look up at her and laugh, "what's so funny?"

"Sakura, we aren't your favorite family."

"You're up there."

"Your favorite family is on a tv show."

"Hell yeah! Bob's Burgers isn't a joke, Kōushi." I shake my head, "rice balls!"

"Be quiet, Mabel.." Mason says quietly.

"I wonder why they aren't together yet." I glance back up at her, "Mun, you can't say those things in front of Daichi."

"Why not-?" I look over at Daichi and his stare was still on the two, "you're fine, Hun, she isn't going to grow up on you." I pat his back and he groans and mumbles to himself before going back to his laptop and papers, "parents, am I right?" Sakura jokes and I giggle lightly, "it's not funny to you, because you actually have to deal with these kinds of parents all the time."

"I live with one, Sakura."

"Eh.." she mumbles, "she's still going to grow up-" Daichi goes on and I laugh, "you sound just like your mom." He ruffles my hair and shakes his head, "be quiet." I giggle lightly.

I wonder if he misses her...like I used to miss my dad.

Damn, I wish I wasn't upset with him when she passed away. I would've at least attended the funeral...

Sora was...something else. A great mom.

I sigh before getting up, "what do you want, Daichi?"

"I got him his normal thing!"

"Got it. Thanks, Mun."

"Its been the same for two years- I think I'm about to change-"

"No!" The entire household says together, "why not?"

"It's easy to order." Munnsun starts, "easy to remember." I say, "it doesn't get everywhere." Mason says, "and you don't have to microwave it."

We sat in silence, "fine, I'll just nevermind then." Daichi jokes and we all laugh.

I feel warm arms wrap around me and I open my eyes, "hm..?" Daichi plants a small kiss on my neck, "Sugar?"

"Hm?"

"I have to go to work." I turn over, "it's 2 am..." I groan.

This wasn't anything new, it was just what he had to do sometimes.

"I know, I'll be back before you wake up, I promise."

"Mhm.."

"Can I have a kiss?"

"No."

"No?" I turn back around and yawn, "go to work, I'm tired..."

"Okay, but I'm not going without a kiss."

He begs up until the point I've had enough. I give him a small kiss and lay back down, "you're so annoying."

"But you love me."

"No I don't."

"You wouldn't be married to me, Sugar, if you didn't."

"Go to work."

"Right." He kisses my neck again before getting up, "I love you."

"I love you too."
