*ONE YEAR LATER*

Jason and I have been together for a year, and we we're still in love. I decide to go with my original plan before I got raped, and wait until we are married before we go further than a make out. My parents and I get along better, and they stopped abusing me. Andrea still doesn't approve of us not being identical twin, but she got used to it so now we're best friends. Alex stopped pretending I never existed, and now he considers me the unique family member.

My parents gave Jason and I their approval so we could date, and they love him. Alex just gets a little protective when we kiss because I'm his baby sister. Andrea gets really excited because she's really happy for us.

"Do you think I should dye my hair blonde and dress like Andrea?" I asked Jason as we walked to the waterfall.

She has been begging me to dye my hair, and dress like her so we could be the identical twins we were meant to be. I told her my decision is final when Jason approves. Then she told me if he really loves me, he wouldn't car if I dress like her.

"Why?'

"Andrea wants to turn me into her black-haired, green-eyed look alike."

"Are you thinking about it?"

"I told her I'd ask you first."

"What did she say?"

"If you really love me, you won't care what I look like."

"Do you want to?"

"Sometimes I think if I stayed a prep, I wouldn't be the black sheep in my family. But I don't wanna be just Andrea's dressup doll. I wanna just be her sister."

"Honestly, Amy, if you don't wanna be her toy then stay the way you are. I personally think you look hotter when you look like that, but that's just me."

"So, you wouldn't like me if I was a prep?"

"No. It 's not that. It would just be weird to see you as a prep, and you don't look like one."

"Okay. I'll stay the way I am."

"If that's what you want."

When we got to the waterfall, it started to downpour. I tried to run into the little cave behind it, but Jason kept pulling me back. I ended up soaked.

"Why are we standing in the rain?" I screamed.

"Amy Michelle Adams, I love you. I've always loved you. You've always been the one person in my life that I could always share my life with, and I wan to keep it that way," he got down on one knee, and pulled out a small velvet box. "Will you do me the great honor of marrying me?"

"Jason, I love you, too. Yes. Yes, I will marry you," I kissed him.

He stood up, and we went into the cave. I texted Cara to come pick us up. She was the only person besides his parents that knew we came here. My parents would flip if they found out we go somewhere out of town, but they wouldn't mind if we slept together.

"Wait. I forgot to do something."

"What?" he slipped the ring on my left ring finger. "It's a beautiful ring, Jason."

"A beautiful ring for a beautiful girl," I smiled. "My mom gave it to me to give to you. When she let me look at it when I was little, I used to tell her I was gonna give you a ring just like it. When I told her I was gonna ask you to marry me, she gave me hers."

"Tell her I said thank you."

"Already did. I told her you would love it."

"I do! It's not even a normal engagement ring. I don't like normal engagement rings, or rings with big diamonds. It's way too classy and typical, and it shows you're trying too hard. I don't like stuff like that. I like unique and antique and something that's not too expensive and not too cheap, something like a hundred bucks to a hundred and fifty bucks."

"Lucky for you, that's the price range for that ring. I just paid seventy-five."

"For what?"

"Look at the engraving on the inside," I took it off.

"PERFECT 4 ME," I read the engraving. "You had that engraved?"

"I told my dad that since I think you're the perfect girl for me, I should get that engraved, so I did."

I slid the ring back on my finger. I'm really happy that Jason and I got engaged. I thought he would have waited a few more years, but this works too. I'm happy either way. He wrapped his arms around my waist, and we waited for Cara to come pick us up.
