Addison Rae POV:

My alarm went off. I rolled over and grabbed my phone off the charger. I then heard my door open. As I threw the blankets back over my head, my mom came and threw them off of me.

Sheri: Addison, you need to get up. It's your first day.

A: Ya, at my fifth school in less than a year. I am a junior in high school mom, and it's January. I'm tired of moving.

S: At least we got you started right after winter break. Look, I'm sorry, Addison, but I have to move for my job, and it's hard, I know. But, you don't make it any easier, Addison. Being mad at me isn't going to change the fact that your dad left okay. He started a new family, and I'm sorry, it's just us. I am trying my hardest. So please get up, get ready, eat the breakfast I've made you. Then get in your two-seat convertible BMW and go to your new school.

A: Yay, so excited, mom

As she walked out of my door. I let out a deep sigh. Thankfully for me, my mom got me anything I wished for and wanted, but it wasn't enough to fix the hole in my heart that my dad left, and I don't know what will. I got up and took a quick shower. I then blow-dried my hair, put it in a top bun, and did some light makeup. I put on my grey long sleeve crop top, some boyfriend jeans and threw on my air Force 1's. I was looking everywhere for my backpack, and then I spotted it. I grabbed it went downstairs and grabbed the yogurt and toast. I was then on my way to Whitewater High.

I was pretty used to being the new girl at this point, and it was exhausting. I never joined clubs or made friends as I knew I wouldn't be around long. I knew that this time would be no different; I just needed to keep my head low and get through this couple of months before I was being shipped to the next school. As I pulled up to the school, many students were staring at me, and I knew it was because of my car. And as lowkey, as I wanted to stay, there was absolutely no way I would skate by here. The kids here caused trouble, created issues. But I wouldn't put up with any of it as I was built for this. As I got out of my car, the looks only intensified more. As I began to walk, I notice a group of boys standing in a corner. As I walked past them, one of the boys stopped me.

B: What's your name?

A: Not interested. I need to find the office so please excuse me.

B: How about I show you the office. And then I can show you some other places.

Am: Bryce cut it out. I'm sorry he flirts with about any and everyone. He's pretty much an asshole. But, I'm Amelie.

A: Addison. DO you think you could show me the office?

Am: Of course

I began walking with Amelie. And I couldn't believe the day I was having. As Amelie showed me to the office, I thanked her, and she let me know she would wait outside just in case I needed any help. As I walked in to see the principal, I noticed that they looked pretty wrong.

Principle D'Amelio: Hello, I'm principle D'amelio, and you must be Addison, our new student

A: I am

Principle D'Amelio: So you've been to four schools, this being your fifth school in the past year. Correct?

A: Yes, my mom's a surgeon. So she just goes wherever she is needed. It can be a lot at times, but it's what we have to do.

Principle D'Amelio: Okay, well, I have two daughters here. Dixie is a junior like you, and Charli is a freshman. Enjoy your first day Addison, and if you need any help, my door is always open.

A: Thank you, principal D'Amelio.

I went outside and saw Amelie waiting for me. I gave her my schedule, and she informed me that we had first, third, and lunch together. And honestly, that made me feel a little better knowing I had someone who could help me. The first period went by slow, and I hated introducing myself to these classes. It's not like I needed to know anyone, but the first period was over before I knew it. As I walked into the hallway, I saw that Bryce kid again, and I didn't want to communicate with him.
