Someone Special-Braddison

Chapter 26

Addison Pov:

I sat outside with my dad in silence waiting to hear what he was going to say about the pregnancy, but I didn't have an answer to what was going on. I put my head down as we sat in silence. I felt my dad grab my hand and take it into his own. 

Ju: Listen, Princess, it's not what I wanted to hear. I wanted some more time with you, but I know how hard this must be on you. It's not what you wanted, but I am pretty sure you love that baby more than anything don't you?

A: I do, it's my whole world already. 

Ju: And you and your siblings are my whole world. I don't want me not approving of you having a baby to keep you away. We will just have to figure this thing together. And I'll be the best young grandpa there is out. 

I hugged my dad and then we went inside to eat. The dinner that Emma had prepared was amazing and I found myself being so appreciative of her cooking. After we ate her steak and lobster we had eaten chocolate cake.  As we finished dessert we all sat on the couch and watched "fast furious nine" before I knew it I had drifted off to sleep. 

Bryce Pov:

I looked at the time and realized it was getting late. Addison never stayed out this late and generally contacted me when she was going to stay out. I then decide to call her phone numerous times, but no one was picking up. Of course me being paranoid, I decided to grab my keys and drove to Josh's house. As I pulled up to her house I noticed her car was sitting outside of the house.  I went up to the door and knocked on the door. I stood outside waiting for someone, anyone really to open the door. Until I saw Josh he looked at me and began to laugh. 

Jo: What's up buddy?

B: Is your sister here? Is she okay?

Jo: She's here. She just fell asleep. You look worried are you okay?

B: Considering that it's midnight and my pregnant girlfriend didn't come home from her family dinner honestly I'm not okay. I was worried, but if she's here and sleeps. Let her stay I just needed to make sure she was okay. Let her know I love her. And please watch her and my baby. 

Jo: Of course Bryce we got her. Don't worry. I'll make sure she gets to you in the morning.

I did my handshake with Josh and then I went home. As I drove home I could only think about how Addison was finally getting the time with her family that she's always wanted or needed. I definitely needed to respect that in the slightest bit. 

*The next day.

I woke up to an empty bed and I honestly can't remember the last time that had happened. But, since I had all day to myself since I didn't know what time Addison was coming back.  I figured I would go get some baby stuff and surprise her for when she got home. I quickly got up and got into the shower, as soon as I was out. I cleaned up the room and began to create some space all over. As soon as I was finished I grabbed my keys and went to the baby store. As I looked around I realized we didn't know the gender yet, so I decided to buy a couple of gender-neutral outfits. I also decided to buy a crib, some diapers, some wipes, and a cute little giraffe.  

As I got home the first thing I did was call blake if I was going to put a crib together sure enough Blake would need to help me. He was the smartest one of us especially since he had gotten with Amelie. As soon as I told him what I was up to he was down to help no questions asked. I ordered us some pizza and got some white claws out of the fridge. As soon as I heard the door I went and did my bro handshake with Blake.

Bl: So we building a crib today?

B: Ya, Addison doesn't quite know what I'm up to. She stayed at her father's house last night and I kind of got worried and drove over there. But,  she's had a rough pregnancy and with school approaching I just want her to see how happy I am about the baby. And how much I appreciate the little things she does. 

Bl: I am so proud of the guy you've become. Of course, I have Addison to thank for that. But, nevertheless, I know you will be a great father. And that baby will have the most loving parents in the world.

Just then the doorbell rang I walked up to it and paid for the pizza.  

B: Alright, enough simp shit. Let's eat this pizza and drink some white claws and build a crib. 

Addison Pov:

I spent the whole day at my dad's house spending time with Olivia. We spent all day in her room laughing, watching movies, making tiktoks, and just having some enjoyable sister bonding time. Josh had let me know that Bryce showed up at the house last night as he was extremely worried about me not showing up. But, the fact that he didn't wake me up to be in his arms and allowed me this time with everyone showed me one of the things I loved most about Bryce. 

O: So I'm going to be an auntie? 

A: Ya, I know crazy huh?

O: Are you scared?

A: Every day, but I don't know theirs a human inside of my belly. Makes me feel like a superhuman every day. Just knowing that helps me get rid of my fear because there's a human who will depend on me every day and I love them so much and it's still early so yeah. 

O: And Bryce is he scared?

A: He's overprotective of me and the baby. Especially when I am really sick or I don't feel the best he does whatever possible to make me feel better and I'm just appreciative of who he's been.

O: Well, at least once a month we need to have a sleepover.

A: Alright deal, but I have to go as it's getting late. And I must tell you the truth that U miss my boyfriend. 

I got my stuff and said goodbye to my family as I left the house. As I was heading home I decided to pick up burgers, fries, milkshake, and pumpkin pie. It reminded me of the day Bryce told me to stay home and I left to get us food. Then after our friends left we fed each other pumpkin pie in bed it was one of the best moments we've had. And I missed those moments. As I pulled up to the house I noticed it was dark outside and his room window was on.  I grabbed all my stuff out of the car and walked inside. As I made my way upstairs I heard laughing. I slowly opened the door and saw Blake and Bryce sitting on the floor playing video games. 

But, as I looked around the room I saw something that wasn't there when I left. I covered my mouth and allowed the tears to fall down. Bryce walked up to me and indulged me in a hug. He then walked us to the closet where he showed me the baby clothes he had bought. 

A: You did all this? 

B: Ya, I kind of figured that you would like this type of thing. 

A: The baby giraffe? 

B: Ya, I thought maybe they would like animals. You know how I like lions and you like the little baby pigs. I figured maybe the baby will like giraffes and we'll be a family of zoo animals. 

A: I love this and I love you

B: I love you more

A: Thanks Blake for helping. The baby is going to appreciate how awesome its uncle is.  I also brought us burgers, fries, milkshake 

B: Mhmm, and pumpkin pie.
