*Skip May 12- Last Day Of School

Bryce Pov:

Finally, it was the last day of school. Everyone had finished their finals, so today was going to be a short day. It is crazy to think that when we come back in August, we will be Seniors. And I knew Addison usually left, so I was hoping she would stay. I sat up and looked down at Addison lying on my chest. I began to stroke her hair softly. Before I knew it, her brown beautiful eyes stared into my own.

B: Last day of junior year. We will be seniors in August

A: Ya, we will...

B: If you don't leave.

A: I want to spend my last year of high school with the man I love. And the people I love. So if I have to stay here until college, so be it.

B: You mean that

A: Of course

Addison then gave me a quick kiss. We had been really intimate lately, and I wasn't complaining as at the beginning of our relationship, it wasn't about sex. It still isn't, but the sex is nice. Just as we were making out, I heard our phones get off. I began to groan as Addison pulled away from me to grab her phone.

A: It's the group chat. They want to do something tonight. I'll let them know that we are in.

Addison continued looking through her phone when I noticed her face change from happy to worried.

B: What's wrong

A: My mom wants to see me. She says she's leaving, and before she goes, she wants to fix things. Do you mind coming with me?

B: Before school?

A: I mean ya, it's only six, so we have time.

B: Let's get ready, Angel, and hurry

I watch Addison run to the shower, and I jumped in with her to save time. No funny business as we had a full agenda of things we needed to complete today. As I was getting ready, I allowed Addison the bathroom to get ready and have some time for herself. I know she didn't know what to expect with her mother, but I also know that deep down, she missed her more than anything. Addison forgets that she has every right to miss her no matter what her mother had lied about. Because in the end, her mother loved her. As we were finally done, I drove my car while Addison sat in the passenger seat. I looked over and noticed her playing with her hands, meaning she was extremely nervous. I grabbed one of her hands and kissed the back of it. She then looked at me and gave me a slight smile. Addison got out as we pulled up to the house, and I sat in the car as I figured this was something Addison may want to do alone.

A: Are you coming?

B: Would you like me to?

A: Please

I got out of the car and went to grab Addison's hand. As she knocked on the door, we waited until finally her mother opened and stood on the other side of the door. She motioned us to come inside. We walked in, and her mother leads us outside to where she had a full table with food. As we sat down, Sheri began to speak.

S: Thank you for coming, Addison. It means a lot to me that you even came to see me.

A: I think you deserve to be heard out. Especially if you plan on leaving.

S: I am so sorry Addison, I never meant for you to hate me. I never meant to drive this wall between us. It's the last thing I wanted. This is why I kept all my secrets hidden. I was afraid of this happening. But, I realized that my secrets are overall what drove you away even more.  I miss you more than anything, Addison, but somehow your hating me has allowed you to open up to people. It has allowed you to create a life here, and that's all I've ever wanted.
