Chapter Four

"So kirogiris back?" Ururaka said, clearly nervous,

"And you were accidentally sent here from your universe because of his portal?"

Percy threw a chip in his mouth,

"Pretty much."

Everyone seemed surprised at how nonchalant he was at the whole situation, but Kaminari knew something was up. (A/N: that's right, a denki POV😎)

He checked his pockets constantly, he glanced at the clock one too many times, as if waiting to see when he can leave, and he tensed whenever someone touched him.

Denki knew the signs, as he's experienced them.
He was clearly worried about not being able to go back, but there was something else going on too, he just needed to figure out what.

That's why after dinner, when everyone was in bed, Kaminari went to check on his guest.

He didn't mean to be nosy, he really didn't, he even tried to go to sleep but lay awake for three hours before getting up.

Denki planned on getting a glass of water, and if their newcomer was still awake, he would offer it to him, and ask him if anything was wrong.

His plan immediately backfired when he dropped his glass of water trying to open Percy's door.

Shit-

He grimaced, looking around to see if he had woken Percy up, to see that no one was in the room.

Kaminari knew the one place he always went to clear his mind, the balcony.

And lo and behold, there Percy was.

Denki slowly walked up, the wind whistling around him.

"Percy?"

Percy jumped and whirled around, his hand instantly in his pocket, but relaxed once he saw who it was.

"Oh, um, Kaminari, right?"

Kaminari nodded, and walked up next to him.

"The nights relaxing tonight right?" (A/N: Too bad you can't see them, Toph! Ok that's not the actual quote but I couldn't resist sorry👯‍♀️)

Percy nodded and took a deep breath, Denki noticed his hands were gripping the railing tightly.

"You can't see the stars from here though."
His voice was shaky,
"I was really hoping to see the stars."

Kaminari looked at him, then looked back at the sky.

"I guess your right."
He sighed,
"Hey, yknow, I know this is all probably like really scary for you and all, so, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here."

He smiled,,

"Thanks Kaminari," his grip on the railing relaxed a bit.

"I'm just wondering why it had to be now?"

Kaminari nodded,

"I mean, my girlfriend was going to be visiting this weekend, and I was finally going to catch a break."

He laughed softly, with no humor,

"Who am I kidding? The Fates aren't that nice."

Kaminari noted his using of "The Fates" and not "fate", but he didn't think too much about it.

Kaminari glanced at him to see a tear fall from his eye, before he quickly wiped it away and turned around, his back leaning against the railing.

Denki looked back up at the sky,
