Percy knew something was up with this class, he just didn't know what. He'd now been in UA for a day and a half, and he'd been taking mental notes on everything going on in this class.
For one, all of them had insane fighting skills.
The girl Percy had fought, Ururaka, had a power similar to Jason's, but her fighting style was more precise, and against humans, not any burly, big monsters.
He had also spent a considerable amount of time watching the other one on ones, though he was told he didn't need to.
All of their powers, or quirks, as they call it, didn't have a source.
Mr. Aizawa had filled him in on a little bit of the history behind it, but it didn't explain how they got them, just that one day people started gaining powers.
Did the gods even know about this world? They had too, right? They are gods after all.
Another thing Percy found strange, was that the kids in any hero course didn't ever fight actual villains, yet class 1A seemed very-what's the word...off?
They were first years, as Percy's been told, so why did they have more skill than a few second years he'd seen.
Not only that, but by the looks of it, they had more experience too.
They were alert, and cautious about going anywhere alone.
He didn't know who to ask about what had happened to them, but something did happen, he knew from personal experience.
The morning of his second day at UA, he planned to ask them about it, he just didn't know how.
How do you ask someone about something like that?
"Hey, you all seem kinda traumatized, so I just wanna know what it is, even though there's probably a chance you'll relive it when I ask about it!"
Yeah, that wasn't going to work out.
To make matters worse, today was English class, and even though Percy's literally the one American student, he assumed he would get worse grades than half the class, and Present Mic was absent today, so he had to deal with a sub. He didn't have a very good history with substitute teachers.
His ADHD was being especially annoying that morning, and he didn't even notice it was English class until he was called on.
"Huh-sorry what?"
A few giggles were heard throughout the room.
"I said, read that paragraph out loud for us please."
She narrowed her eyes at Percy,
"Just so you know, Class 1A is very ahead in the English curriculum, but this still shouldn't be too hard for you."
Percy gulped, interestingly enough, the one thing that scared him more than monsters, were teachers.
"Um-right."
