His Amore

chapter 2

Avery POV

I woke up at 6:50 AM and got dressed in a red dress with white flowers scattered all over it, and a jean jacket.

I was putting on makeup when Austin called, "come on, Avery, hurry up!"

"Just five more minutes!" I said as I put on a concealer to hide my eye bags, then put on mascara and lastly a light lipstick.

I grabbed my bag and threw my phone in it and ran downstairs to see Austin sitting on the couch looking through his phone waiting for me.

"Couldn't get any more slower?" He asked sarcastically as he heard my footsteps coming downstairs and going to the door.

"You are the one who offered to take me to school, I could have went with Jamie." I said as I bent down to put on my shoes.

"Yeah, yeah." He said as he got up and grabbed an apple, He gave it to me as he took the car keys from the table and opened the door.

I went after him to the car, he opened the passengers door for me and waited for me to enter.

I sat and looked at him, "you know, you don't have to do that, every time."

"That is how a girl should be treated, nothing less." He said looking into my eyes trying to get his point across before closing the car door.

He went to his side and started driving to the school. I ate the apple as we listened to music.

When we parked the car, I was about to open the door, "no, no." Austin said getting out of the car and opened my door for me.

I got out, he closed the door and locked the car. It was 7:48 am. So I only had 7 minutes before the warning bell ring.

"Bye, Austy."

"If you need anything, or felt uncomfortable in any way, come get me. And if anyone bothers you, you tell me and I will take care of it, Okay?" He said putting his hand on my shoulder looking at me with worry in his eyes.

He always worry about me and is always reluctant to leave me alone in crowded places or with people that I don't know.

"Okay, and don't worry about me, I will be fine, I promise." I told Austin as I wrapped my hand around his torso in a hug, as that is only thing that I could reach because of my short hight, I was 5'2. He wrapped his hands around my shoulder in a tight hug and I know that he is still worried and nothing I could say would make him feel any better.

We pulled back from the hug and I went to my locker to put the books that I don't need in it as I already got the books yesterday with my schedule.

The warning bell rang, I closed my locker, I looked into the map as I still don't know my way around. I hurried to my first class which was literature.

When I entered the class, I looked around for an empty seat.

As soon as I sat down a blonde girl came and sat next to me.

"Hey." I greeted her as she pulled the chair to sit next to me. I put my bag on the floor beside my chair.

"Hey, girl." The girl said.

"Hey."

"My name is kelsey! You must be the new girl." Kelsey said.

"Yeah, I am Avery." I told her.

"I think you're cool, would you like to sit with me and my friends at lunch?"

"I'd love to, thanks." I said smiling, I was excited that I would have someone to sit with, I know that I can sit with Austin, but I want to have my own friends.

"Did you hear about the new hot boy? Do you think he is going to join the football team or maybe he could join basketball! They also say that his family is billionaire so that means he is a billionaire!" She kept ranting about that new boy, I don't even know how she knows all of that.

"We will have to wait and see then. Do you know his name?" I told her.

"I think his name is Austin."

"Ooh, ahh.. That's actually my brother." I said feeling weird about the talk now.

"WHAT?!" She exclaimed making the class turn to us.

"Shhh." I tried to make her lower her voice. Soon everyone returned back to what they were doing.

"That means that you are a billionaire! Oh my god! I am talking to a billionaire, not only that, but are sibling with a very hot boy! I think I am going to die!" She said fanning herself.

A boy, more like a man, entered the classroom, he has brown hair and dark green eyes, like the forest.

Kelsey looked at me, "okay, we will continue this talk at lunch. I am going to sit beside my boyfriend, Ryan. have fun." She said pointing to her boyfriend at the back of the class, then stood up and went to sit beside her boyfriend.

The boy was still looking around until his eyes fell on mine. I think he saw the empty seat beside me as he started to make his way over to the space beside me.

I heard a screeching sound, I turned around to see that, that boy was pulling his chair to sit where Kelsey was sitting on moments before.

"Feel betrayed?" He asked in a deep voice.

"Not really, I mean we are not friends." I said, my hair fell hiding my face. I put it behind my ear.

The late bell rang but the teacher hasn't come yet.

"So, you are the new girl. What's your name?" He asked me, turning his body a little to me.

"Avery, what's yours?" I asked him softly.

"I am Grayson." He said looking in my eyes.

"Wh-" I was cut off by the teacher entering, he was a man that looked probably in his mid fifties.

Grayson turned back to look forward and I also turned to look forward but I kept feeling his eyes on me.

When the bell rang, I stood up and grabbed my bag, I was about to leave when Grayson called.

"Avery?"

"Yeah?" I turned around to look at him.

"I can show you to your next class if you don't know your way around." He told me.

"Yeah, that would be amazing, I would really appreciate it."

"What do you have next?" He asked.

"I have Italian." I told him.

"It's next to mine, I have history, let's go before we get late." He said as he started to lead the way.

Soon, we reached my class, "Here we are." Grayson said as he leaned against the wall.

"Thanks for showing me to my class, I would have definitely been lost and late to the class." I said smiling, feeling my face getting hot and I knew I was blushing, so I let my hair fall to cover my red cheeks.

"It's no problem." He said.

"I'll see you later?" I asked looking into his deep green eyes.

"Yeah, I'll see you later." He said and he started to walk down the hall, I kept watching him until I could no longer see him.
