Avery POV
Finally it was Saturday. Jamie hasn't tried to talk to me or even apologize.
Asher and me are meeting up with Amelia and her kids, Zachary and Zoey, at the park.
I was getting ready to leave. I wasn't going to go at first as I was still sad but Asher was so excited so I couldn't just tell him that we weren't going.
I was wearing a black crop top and shorts.
I was putting on my socks when Asher busted into my room.
"Come on, Avy! We are going to be late!" He said loudly, jumping in his place. He was fully dressed and looked ready to go.
"Okay, okay, I am done, and don't worry, we aren't late." I said as I grabbed my bag and extended my hand for him to take, and he grabbed it immediately and started to drag me downstairs.
"Wait, we have to say goodbye, first." I said as we passes by the living room to see Austin sitting on the couch scrolling through his phone.
"Hey, Austin. Where are the others?" I asked confused, he looked at me before he told me that they are out, spending the whole day together.
I told him that I was going out with Amelia and Asher kept tugging on my arm wanting to leave.
°°°°°°°°
When we reached there, I saw Amelia and the kids, I haven't seen her in a while, and I missed her so much.
The kids ran to me and hugged me tightly. I crouched down and hugged them, they clinged to me more tightly as I was about to stand.
"I missed you guys." I said rubbing their backs.
When they leaned back, I was able to look at them.
They got so much bigger, Zoey's blonde hair got longer and her blue eyes were bright and shining.
Zachary's hair was the same color as Zoey and the same blue eyes, they looked identical, the only difference between them was their hair length.
"I missed you, too." Zoey and Zachary said at the same time, they looked at Asher and then they ran off, playing together.
I stood up and headed to the bench Amelia was sitting at, she stood up as I reached her and we hugged tightly.
"I missed you so much." I said as I was still hugging her, tightly.
"I missed you more." We broke the hug and sat next to each other and talked about anything and everything.
We talked about our lives and what was happening in it.
°°°°°
We were still talking when we saw some boy push Zachary off the swing.
"Don't push my brother!" Zoey yelled at the boy and pushed him back as he was about to push Zachary again.
The boy was going to push Zoey but Asher pushed him hard and the boy fell down.
"Don't push them!" Asher shouted.
We went to them quickly, Zachary and Zoey ran to Amelia and Asher ran to me.
"Momma." Zachary whimpered as Amelia picked them up, they wrapped their arms around her neck.
I picked Asher up, as Amelia said," Why did you do that?" She tried to talk to the boy nicely.
"Because I wanted the swing." He said bluntly.
"That's not right there is a turn for everyone." She tried to say but he ran away.
"He doesn't have any manners." Amelia said under her breath, as she put her kids on the ground gently. I also put Asher on the ground.
As soon as his little feet touched the ground, he ran to Zoey, "Are you okay?" He asked her cutely.
"Yeah." she said as she ran to continue playing, Asher and Zachary following behind.
Me and Amelia sat back down again, she looked at me as if waiting for me to tell her something.
"What?" I asked her confused.
"Is there something you want to tell me?" She asked as if she was sure that there was something wrong, "you seem off."
"I had a fight with Jamie, and we are still not talking." I said sighing.
"What happened?" She asked softly, looking now and then at the kids to make sure they were okay.
I told her everything about the fight and when he came over.
"Maybe I did something that made him doubt me."
"I don't know how you could think like that, he is an as*hole and I told you not to date him, he was doing fine just being a friend. Right now, I hate him. I think that is enough for you to know that he is not the one." Amelia said trying to convince me.
I was about to say something when my phone vibrated.
Jam❤:
Sorry.I was shocked to see the message, we haven't talked for a week and now when he decides to apologize, he only says sorry, I know that he doesn't mean it.
I know when he apologizes he has to say it face to face and take me out to make it up for me and maybe spend the night.
But now, he only said sorry. I don't know what to feel. Should I be happy that he apologized? Or sad that he didn't mean it?
I sighed, I wasn't in the mood to stay here, I wanted to go home and spend the rest of the day in bed.
I told Amelia that I am leaving and she told me to wait as her husband is coming and he will drop me off instead of walking.
"Daddyy!!" Zachary and Zoey said as they ran to their father.
He picked them up immediately when they reached him.
"I missed you, daddy."
"I missed you, too, daddy."
"I missed you more, my babies." He said kissing each of their cheeks, but Zoey made sure to give him another kiss on the lips.
He walked over to us and greeted me.
He dropped me and Asher home, Asher ran to daddy's room, properly to see Madeline.
"I am home." I said as I went to my room.
°°°°°
Austin came home a few hours later and knocked lightly on the door, which was opened.
"Hey." He said as he looked at me as I was lying on bed.
"Hey." I said getting up a little bit so my back rested against the headboard.
"I want to tell you something but I don't want you to get upset, okay?" He asked me cautiously as he sat beside me.
"What is it?"
"I have few basketball matches, and I have to travel for couple weeks." He said.
"What?" I said not sure that I heard him right.
"I am sorry." He said looking sad.
"When?"
"In a week."
My eyes filled with tears, we were never separated before, he is like my twin and I know that I will miss him so much. I don't want to hold him back.
The first tear fell, and Austin hugged me tightly as I cried softly.
