Chapter 11: Discoveries before Performance

"These are the tents that backstagers or 'second tiers' live in. Usually two or three people live in one tent." Joker said as I, Sebastian, and Ciel are taking a tour around the circus.

"And over there is the mess tent and the storeroom, the central tent is the first aid tent, and over there is where the main cast or the 'first tiers' private tent." Joker continued pointed to tents as we pass them.

"Private tents?" I ask when Joker mention private tents.

"Yeah you get a private tent when you're real good. An' that's Snake's tent so you want to stay away for your own good. It's filled with poisonous snakes which moves freely in there, so if you get even bit once you're going to the underworld. " Joker said pointed to the tent at the very left of us.

So instead of having a guard dog they have a guard snakes. It wouldn't hurt if I extract some information out of them. I thought to myself as we head back to the main tent.

"So Smile what's with your right eye?" Joker ask to Ciel who was unexpected to be ask a question like this.

"Eh? Oh this I got this in an accident." Ciel said touching his eye-patch and unexpected Joker gently touched the side of Ciel's face.

"Poor thing that someone so young had to go through an unfortunate event." Joker said with a strange expression on his face, but quickly covered it up with a smile.

"Did everyone join the tour like us?" Sebastian said continue to walk and talk at the same time.

"Yah but for the first tiers we're all from same town that you can consider us as childhood friends. Although Snake is an exception but his talents with snakes he went to the top immediately."

"Interesting." I said trying to see Joker's past and see if any of the kidnap are in his memories, but for some reason I can't access his memories.

"Now here we are at the practice tent where newbies train." Joker said bringing back the flap which revealed itself as the entrance to the tent.

As we enter the tent I took in the scenery around me which was too fimilar to me. Around me there are performers of all kind from jugglers to tight rope practicing an acts or two. Seeing my expression Joker chuckled and put his arms around me into a headlock.

"Well here's someone who is fimiliar with the circus and I recall that you were in a circus before." Joker said his arm still around my neck.

"Yeah but if you want to I could show you my old performance act later." I said giving him a weak smile and sensing Sebastian's eyes glowing pink and growled softly.

"Sure why not show it to us after practice?"

"Gladly!"

"Joker! It's your turn!" a familiar voice shouted and Joker and I turned around to see Beast coming out of a flap that was hidden at the wall waving at him.

"Alright! Be there in a sec! Sorry Shadow see you later." Joker said with a smile and head inside of the flap without giving me, Sebastian, and Ciel a second look.

Sebastian and Ciel froze and stare at me with amazement as if I just jumped over a cliff and survived (which I did a long time ago).

"Did you really join the circus __________?" Ciel ask to me with his single eye widen in awe.

"Yes young master I used to be in a circus about..... Never mined I'm talking a bit too much." I said speaking the last part to myself so that Ciel won't hear me.

"Well for now let's sterch and prepare yourself for practice. I have a feeling I won't talk to you guys for a while in order to avoid suspicion ,so don't worry about me I'll see you guys later." I said regaining my figure and walking away and prepare myself to get into the first tiers.

One hour later after Sebastian's big showoff

"You really overdone it Sebastian." I said to Sebastian after everyone compliment him.

"Well isn't your performance right after mine." Sebastian replied to me.

"Oi Sebastian you're being standing out too much." Ciel said walking up to us.

"Young master wasn't it you who order me to...." Sebastian begins to speak but just at that second Dagger who was overseeing the newbies came up to us and proclaim with a loud voice.

"Well we have another super newcomer's appeared! This is getting really interesting!"

"Another super newcomer?" I ask facing Dagger with curiosity.

"Yeah he joined about a couple of days ago he said that he used to work at the government or something like that. He's over there and he is very serious for some reason. Hey come down Suit!" Dagger said then shouting to a figure on the tight rope a really fimilar figure.

A man with glasses, slick back hair, dressed in colorful clothing, has a long cylinder in a form of a tree trimmer in his hands to balance him, but what is important feature to take notice of is his green eyes which are in a spiral color that only one group of people I know that has these type of eyes. A grimm reaper and the one in front of us is the grimm reaper with the name William T. Spears.
