Perfect Nightmare

Chapter 31

"Where's Matt and Marcuse?" I ask Jess who is on her phone sitting next to me.

She looks up and says. "They went to see their parents today." She returns back to the phone as I get up and walk to the kitchen. Scott and James were talking to some girls, Cam and Holly were together somewhere in the house god knows what they are doing. I don't even know if Laila was here because I could sure use her company inside of being watched by Colton- oh fuck he walking this way. I try to leave but people were blocking the way.

How do his parents just let him have a party without being bothered?

"Can we talk?" He looks at me as I clear my throat.

"I was just about to use the bathroom can you-"he grabs me buy my upper arm walking away from the party. We walk upstairs to hi room and he lock the door. "Sure just let me pee in my pants. You know you blather could explode if you don't use the bathroom and for sure I don't want that to happen to me. I am sure as hell don't want to get an infection-'

"Stop talking." He runs a hand through his hair.

"Is it wrong that I don't want something to happen-"I put a hand on my hip as I look at him.

He rolls his eyes walking over to me. "I know you don't have to use the bathroom."

"You don't know that."

He shakes his head a small smile forming on his perfect lips. "You just want to avoid me."

I laugh. That all I do, can't even deny the fact that he is right. He walks closer to me wrapping his arms around my waist as looking at me. I miss looking into his perfect blue eyes. They just make me happy and smile. I felt his lips on my neck as he trails tiny feather kisses up to my jaw line.

I bite on my lips trying not to let any kind of noise out of my mouth as I put my hands on his upper arms. "Where did you go last night?" He whispers in my ear.

"I went to my parents' house." I felt my breath stop as his hands go on my hips and inside my shirt.

He goes back to kissing my neck as lifts me up so that now I had my legs wrapped around his waist. He walks to his bed and sits down with me straddling his lap. "Did you really?" He didn't stop kissing my neck.

"Yes." I say.

"I called your mom and she told me you weren't there last night." he pulls away with his hands still on my hips. I can't tell him that I was at Brent's.

"My mom must have not known because there were sleeping when I got there." my heart is now beating.

"I think you're lying to me." He looks at me as I get off his lap and sit next to him. How could I just tell him that I was at Brent's. He doesn't deserve this.

"I was at.." I say but I can't. I don't want him to get mad at me. "Before I tell you, you need to promise you won't get mad or punch him."

His head snaps to me. "Him." he says the word with disgust. Like it is something you never want to hear. "Cassie stop spacing out and tell me."

"I was at.." I say looking down at my lap. "Brent's." I mumble the last words.

"Come again, love." he lifts my chin up with his fingers.

"Brent's." I look at his eyes that now are pitch black. He looks like he has seen a ghost.

"Brent's!" He tells making me flinch. He gets up ready to leave the room but I get up and pull on his arm.

"You promised to to yell or go after him." I tell him as he is facing the door and not me.

"I didn't promise you anything." he spits.

"Colton please look at me." I say trying to make him face me. He doesn't so I walk in front of him and I could see the anger in his face. His jaw is locked and his hands are in fists. I put my hand in his left hand trying to intertwined our fingers together.

He lets me and that makes a small smile form on my lips as I look at his eyes. I could see his jaw clenched and ready to beat the first person that walks in front of him. "I'm sorry." I whisper. "He was just there and I was mad at you."

"For what something that is stupid." he looks at me and them at our hands. He pulls his hand away. "Maybe us trying to be together isn't going to work."

My heart just dropped. It's like he grabbed a knife and stabbed my heart a million times. "What are you saying?" I look at his face trying to see if he is joking but there is nothing.

"This will never work." he says and I move away from him. He just had to say that. I need him the most right now knowing that Ben is out here.

He looks up at me ready to say something but I don't let him. I open the door and walk out. I feel so broken knowing that he isn't even trying. I look back hoping that he would walk up to me and stop me but he isn't.

I feel tears form on my eyes as I walk downstairs. People are looking at me but I do f pay any attention. How could
Colton just say that this won't work out if he hardly tried.

I haven't tried.

"Hey Cassie." holly and Jess walk over to me but stipe when they see tears. "What wrong?"

"What happened?" They both say at the same time.

"Um nothing." I shake my head whiling my tears away. "I have to go I'll see you at the dorm Jess."

I try to walk away but they stop me. "It does look like something." Holly runs her hand up and down my back.

"You want to talk about it?" Jess asks.

I run a hand through my hair. "No." I pull away from their hold as I rush out of this house.

I can't look at anyone as I leave. I walk out and the chill of the wind hit me as I walk away.

"You want anything else, sweetie?" The women asks looking at me with a smile on her face.

"No thank you." I return the smile and she walks back to the kitchen.

I am at the diner eating a chocolate molten cake all by myself.

I look around this place swing only a few people here and most of them are couples.

I roll my eyes and look at the cake in front of me as I push it away I was ready to grab my coat and leave but someone walks my way. "Isn't it nice to see you here."

I try to get up but he pushes me back down. "Why so fast on leavening?"

"Get away from me Cole." I grunt trying to get away.

"I don't think so." he moaned me to the end of the booth and sits next to me. "I just want to hang out."

I laugh. "You're the last person I would hang out with."

His smirk stays on his lips. "Sweetheart everyone wants to hang out with me." He winks at me making me gag. "Before I leave I just want to say once Colton is done with you, you're mine." As he his getting out of the booth I grab on his arm.

"What do you mean once Colton is done with me? He isn't doing anything, he told me himself and sure as hell I won't even think about being with you."

"You actually think Colton telling you the truth." He raises an eyebrow at me. "You funny Cassie but Colton told me himself he will finish what he started."

"I know Colton better than you think." I challenge.

"We'll see about that." He walks to the door. "Oh and Cassie once your heart is broken you should come to me."

Not only do I have to deal with Ben but also with Cole. My life is just great.
