Why had he agreed to wait outside. Of all the things this idiotic glitch impulsively decided to do- why did he choose to listen to the damned neon gold skeleton or Dream or whatever he was called.

The glitch was pacing slightly, anxiously rubbing the scarf, well aware the little notes wouldn't smudge. He hadn't removed the scarf. His jacket, maybe, but never the scarf... Error just couldn't bring himself to.

Don't get me wrong, it isn't love that's driving him right now- maybe in the future- but right now, it's worry and concern. The glitch had grown rather attached to the artist ever since they started hanging out. Or rather- Ink started hovering and bothering Error until he agreed to Ink's occasional visits where the two had to interact for a little while- The former destroyer had to admit that he enjoyed those visits after some time...

" So much for the unstoppable guardian."

Came a voice Error really didn't want to hear today. He glared at Nightmare, who sneered in return, before his expression shifted and he sighed,

" Error. Good to see you again."

" A pleasure."

The glitch growled slightly,

" What do you want, Nightmare?"

The octopus rolled his eyelight,

" Temper."

He said,

" I simply came to assist my brother."

" You expect me to believe that bs? What-"

He laughed, a sour tone to it,

" Did you all of a sudden start a 'redemption arch' for your life?"

Error spoke with a slightly spiteful tone in his voice.

" Error, Nightmare, quit it."

Dream spoke up, having left the room to join them and give Ink a few moments to himself.

" How much did you tell him?"

Error asked, dropping the previous subject quickly for the sake of his worry for the artist, who's eyelights were currently settled on white discs, which were directed down at his hands, the subtle glow of the monitors casting a soft light on his face as he processed what Dream had explained to him- of course the others didn't see this, considering he was in a separate room.

" I just told him who we are. I'm not going to just lay on a skeleton with no memories of himself that he's the guardian of a multiverse full of AU Creators and that he's supposed to keep Creators motivated.. I know you want him to remember who he is, Error, but amnesia, or whatever it is he has, doesn't work that way..."

He said, breathing a small sigh,

" We have to take this slow. I want him to remember, too, but we can't rush something like this..."

Error slowly nodded, intertwining his fingers with the familiar yet foreign fabric around his neck and clutching it as he glitched a bit, then released a small,

" Fine..."

" Okay... Then you can go talk to him..."

Dream said, and the glitch just nodded again, then walked towards the door, carefully opening it and stepping in enough to shut it once more.

This got Ink's attention. He perked up and looked over at the strangely colored skeleton- Error, was it...? Was that what Dream said it was..? If his recollection of the prince's statements weren't enough, then Error's appearance definitely was. The glitch slowly approached the bed and sat down,
